Benefits verification coordinator will provide high standard of customer service
Acquiring current and accurate benefits
Accurately entering benefits information into billing system
He/she will also make outbound calls for insurance verification when needed
Communicate clients benefits to clinicians/therapist in a timely manner
He/she will keep current with the productivity in regards to benefit spreadsheet
Other duties as deemed necessary
Accuracy of Mathematics
Accuracy of data entry
Ability to work with clinical staff
Ability to work with insurance companies
Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
Demonstrates good customer service skills
Job-related Behavioral Characteristics:
Prior experience in a medical billing office. Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations, knowledge of facility contracts and agreements. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of appeal and denial process Knowledge of composition if medical records, knowledge of data entry (primarily excel) and mathematics, knowledge of pre-certification process. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of CARF standards, knowledge of Release of information and Confidentiality. Demonstrates the use of 10key calculator, Fax, PC Knowledge, Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) copier.
