Experience and abilities you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field

  • Must have four years' experience in benefits administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • PHR or SHRM-CP desired.

  • MS Excel Advanced proficiency - mastery of pivot tables, vlookups and complex formulas.

  • Working knowledge of benefit enrollment systems.

  • In-depth knowledge of local, state and federal leave laws, FMLA, ADAA,

  • Thorough knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint.

  • Strong understanding of group benefit eligibility, enrollment rules and procedures.

  • Ability to effectively work in an environment of ambiguity that lacks written processes.

  • Low ego approach with a keen focus on customer services.

  • Particularly high sense of urgency, passion and a bias for action, with a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done.

  • Collaborative person, an effective team member who puts the success of the team over oneself.

  • Detailed-oriented, strong track record for data accuracy.

  • Decisive decision-maker, however also able to balance the need to complete appropriate due diligence and analysis to ensure the situational understanding of complex situations.

What you will do:

Manages the administration of benefits, wellness and leave programs.

  • Manages ACA administration and annual reporting.

  • Runs ACA process reports from Dayforce Benefits module, audits to identify errors and correct as needed.

  • Process ACA 1095-Cs, audit for accuracy and distribute annually by federal deadlines.

  • Review IRS ACA SSN error reports, identify and correct dependent SSNs

  • Responsible for the administration of the GCC benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, supplemental plans, accommodation requests and leaves of absence.

  • Monitor Dayforce Benefit enrollment system to ensure accurate enrollments.

  • Monitor and manage seasonal employee benefits, conducting monthly audits to ensure deductions/earnings are correct in payroll.

  • Manage the company HSA match program; ensuring new hires receive HSA lump sum after 90 days. Assist payroll team with troubleshooting HSA funding errors.

  • Assist employees as needed with life events and special enrollments.

  • Ensure annual benefit SPDs are accurate and available to employees in the benefits portal.

  • Responsible for retirement plan administration, including 401(k) and pension. Respond to auditors' requests for data on the annual 5500 audit.

  • Assist retirees with questions/issues related to pension benefits and liaise with the Plan record keeper.

  • Responsible for participating in vendor management activities including day to day oversight, regular status calls and process improvement initiatives

  • Work with Ceridian consultants to configure, test Dayforce Benefits portal for successful open enrollment.

  • Assist in wellness plan administration and employee support.

  • Assist employees with complex claims issues - escalating issues to carriers as needed.

  • Manage reconciliation of all benefits invoices managing against employee payroll contributions to ensure accuracy.

  • Conducts benefit monthly audits and prepares monthly carrier self-billing for life, disability and supplemental insurance.

  • Coordinate and facilitate compliance-related matters, in partnership with external vendors, including (but not limited to) completion of Form 5500s, ACA filings, annual audits, and non-discrimination testing.

  • Support the annual benefits Open Enrollment process, including working with vendors/brokers to manage employee communications, prepare benefit plan materials, coordinate timelines and address employee questions.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders such as Payroll, HR Service Center, HR Leaders, HR Business Partners, and Finance on leave administration, renewals, benefit program implementations, mergers & acquisitions, and other areas related to benefits administration

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
