The Benefits Manager is responsible for the administration of employee benefits in all company operations. This individual will provide specialist guidance and assistance on various employee benefit plans and is specifically charged with gaining competitive advantage in employee attraction, retention, and motivation through the use of innovative and cost-effective benefit strategies.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Manage the administration of employee benefits package, including health, life, disability, and retirement plans, etc.
Monitor compliance with laws and regulations related to benefits
Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and providers
Provide guidance regarding benefits enrollment and utilization
Mange day-to-day benefits administration, including enrollment and changes in conjunction with payroll
Lead open enrollment implementation (testing, managing intranet and system updates, etc.
Manage day-to-day administration of well-being and recognition programs
Design and execute employee communications relating to benefit, well-being, and recognition programs
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive local well-being program initiatives as well as overall total reward program education
Monitor employee eligibility for benefits in accordance with company guidelines
Respond to inquiries, troubleshoots issues and resolves conflicts relative to total rewards programs
Manage total rewards projects/initiatives
Report benefit-related data and trends to Director of Total Rewards
Serve as backup in managing and coordinating FMLA leave requests
Direct supervision of Benefits Administrator
Collaborate with reward program administrators and various internal stakeholders to complete external award program surveys
Your Desired Skills, Experiences & Values:
Bachelor's Degree in human resources, business administration, or a related discipline or equivalent experience
Relevant work experience in benefits administration or similar role is required. HR system implementation experience a plus. Current human resources and/or benefits credentials or certification preferred
Understanding of the broad spectrum of employee benefit programs in general industry and in professional services firms, specifically those related to employee health and wellness as well as knowledge of Rehmann HR policies and programs
Able to use Microsoft Word and Excel sufficiently to prepare correspondence, reports, tables and exhibits with proper formatting using Rehmann styles
Proficient in use of Rehmann technology, including GoFileRoom, HRMS and other vendor software used by the department
Asks concise, targeted questions in order to fulfill objectives and task completion
Demonstrates critical thinking and sound judgment in making decision
Proven experience in planning, executing, and overseeing projects from conception to completion
Ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and improvements in documents and processes
Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing workload effectively, and thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Ensure other associates and supervisors are informed of progress and significant project developments
Articulate in speech; communicates in a clear, fact-based manner and able to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
