Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, asphalt, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing. The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day. Delek US Holdings owns 100 percent of the general partner and 81.6 percent of the limited partner interest in Alon USA Partners, LP (NYSE: ALDW), which owns a crude oil refinery in Big Spring, Texas, with a crude oil throughput capacity of 73,000 barrels per day and an integrated wholesale marketing business.
The logistics operations primarily consist of Delek Logistics Partners, LP. Delek US Holdings, Inc. and its affiliates also own approximately 63 percent (including the 2 percent general partner interest) of Delek Logistics Partners, LP. Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE: DKL) is a growth-oriented master limited partnership focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets.
The asphalt operations consist of owned or operated asphalt terminals serving markets from Tennessee to the west coast through a combination of non-blended asphalt purchased from third parties and produced at the Big Spring, Texas and El Dorado, Arkansas refineries. The renewables operations will consist of plants in Texas and Arkansas that produce biodiesel fuel and a renewable diesel facility in California.
The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores which also market motor fuels in central and west Texas and New Mexico.
The Benefits Manager is responsible for the administration of employee benefits in all company operations. The Benefits Manager is an individual contributor role located in our Brentwood, TN corporate office and will report to the Director of Compensation.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
Administer employee benefits programs such as retirement plans; medical, dental, vision plans; life insurance plans; temporary disability programs; and wellness programs
Assure company compliance with provisions of Employee Retirement Income Security Act, Family Medical Leave Act, and the Affordable Care Act. Supervise preparation of reports and applications required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies, such as Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor, insurance commissioners, and other regulatory agencies. Review and analyze changes to state and federal laws pertaining to benefits, and report necessary or suggested changes to management. Coordinate company benefits with government-sponsored programs
Evaluate and compare existing company benefits with those of other employers by analyzing other plans, surveys and other sources of information. Develop specifications for new plans or modify existing plans based on market trends and forward looking needs of the company
Install approved new plans or changes to existing plans by preparing announcement materials, plan summary documents and other media for communicating plans to employees. Conduct employee meetings and arrange for enrollment. Advise management and employees on existing benefits
Assist in preparing and executing benefits documentation. Instruct insurance carriers, trustees and other administrative agencies outside the company to effect changes in benefits program. Ensure prompt and accurate compliance
Handle benefits inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution. Maintain contact in person, and by phone or mail, with hospitals, physicians, insurance companies, employees, and beneficiaries to facilitate proper and complete utilization of benefits for all employees.
Achieves financial objectives by preparing the benefits and department operational budgets; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Experienced in applying Change Management Principles to organizational initiatives.
Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws by studying existing and new legislation and advising management on needed actions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
A bachelor's degree in Business Management/Finance and minimum of five (5) to (7) seven years of experience in benefits administration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Must be highly organized, analytical, action and detail oriented.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, empathetic, positive and an attentive listener.
A master's degree in Business Management/Finance preferred
Ten (10+) years of progressive experience in a senior level Benefits Manager role in a large organization.
Ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment
Merger and acquisition experience a plus

Potential candidate should have a strong understanding of regulatory and compliance best practices relating to all benefit plans administered by the company (for example, ERISA, FMLA, ADA, etc). Designated certifications preferred (SHRM, CEBS, QKA, QPA, etc).
Experience writing reports and presentations, including creation through analysis to all levels of the company, including the executive team.
Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), the Internet, and various HRIS applications.
Ability to effectively plan, set priorities, and manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of federal and state laws relating to benefit plans including ERISA, HIPPAA, COBRA and FMLA.
Superior written and verbal communication skills to effectively address all levels within the organization.
Ability to represent the company effectively in a variety of settings with a demonstrated understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures.
Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in dealing with matters of significance for the company.
Merger and acquisition experience a plus.
