Leads and manages the administration of health and welfare programs and services, including programs related to healthcare reform and other benefits such as tuition reimbursement, commuter benefits, employee discounts, and paid time off plans. Manages the relationship with third party administrator, ensuring health plan design is accurately configured when employees enroll on-line and administration complies with plan document, and ensuring FSA claims are paid appropriately and timely. Leads the preparation for open enrollment, ensuring benefits changes are implemented and communications are sent to employees timely. Manages appeals and vendor payment processes, employee premium billing and refund administration.

Collaborates with other HR leaders to deliver services to all Sutter Health employees and to build a high-performing Service Delivery Team. Cultivates and builds the Retirement Services Team that is focused on delivering results, provides effective coaching and builds and maintains employee engagement. Supports the success of a high-performing shared services organization by helping to champion and drive the long-term Sutter Shared Services vision. Foster an environment in which continuous improvement in business processes and services is welcomed and recognized. Participates in programs to support a high performance culture via the standard Sutter Shared Services responsibilities (e.g. performance measurement, people development, customer relationship management, etc.).

Limited/occasional travel to major office locations in Northern California, including overnight stays.

Limited/occasional requirement to work outside of normal work schedule to support peak times

  • Bachelor's degree Or equivalent education/experience

  • Requires experience in benefits administration as typically acquired in 5 or more years

  • Experience working with multiple processes and serving multiple customers is required

  • Experience in managing a high volume of requests/activities is required

  • Experience with HR systems, preferably Lawson

  • Experience working with on-line benefit enrollment systems

  • Must be familiar with the execution of effective processes to support/operationalize benefits administration strategies

  • Knowledge of benefits best practice processes, systems or tools that enable Benefits Team to support all Sutter Health employees

  • Knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations governing health and welfare benefits (e.g., Early Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and Healthcare Reform.)

  • Knowledge of medical, dental, vision, life, disability, long-term care and other non-pension related benefit programs

  • Knowledge of HR/Benefits administration and on-line enrollment systems

  • Leadership and management skills are required

  • Ability to oversee day-to-day benefits administration activities to ensure that customer priorities are met

  • Ability to navigate HR information systems to perform analysis and generate reports as needed

  • Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and benefits administration systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Group Benefits Associate (GBA)

  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)

  • Previous supervisory experienced is highly desired

  • Experience in a health care setting and/or union environment is preferred

  • Experience in a service delivery environment is preferred

  • Knowledge of shared services center/contact center operations preferred

VIEW JOBS 4/4/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-03T00:00 Flexible Schedules - w/Full-Time Benefits 2:00PM-8:30PM JOB SUMMARY: The Certified Nursing Assistant is a paraprofessional member of the interdisciplinary group who works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient's personal needs and to promote comfort. The Sweet Dreams Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing assistance to patients in a facility or home setting and ensuring that they are comfortable prior to retiring for the night. Duties include observing the patient, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed. The CNA will be assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety of a patient's care. REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: * Meets the training requirements of the State. * Has completed a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training. Sixteen hours of class room must be completed prior to a mandatory 16 hours of practical training * Must be at least 18 years of age * Must have current CNA certification in good standing * Licensed driver with current auto insurance and automobile in good working condition * Current CPR certification OTHER REQUIREMENTS: * Must be able to work in the evenings, generally from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. * Must be flexible in work hours to ensure the patients receive care as provided in the plan of care ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsibilities of the CNA include, but are not limited to, the following: * Provide bedtime care including personal hygiene regimens as required * Provide Namaste to promote a serene environment * Provide aroma therapy and gentle touch * Provide lotion rubs to hands and feet * Perform personal care needs after given a patient's assignment and attending to his/her requests promptly. If unable to perform a certain task, report to the Case Manager immediately. * Provide patient and family with positive communication techniques, within realm of ethical and respectful care, including confidentiality. * Meet safety needs of patient and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, O2 etc.) * Give personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linen in accordance with the plan of care * Assist in dressing and undressing patients in accordance with plan of care * Assist in feeding the patient in accordance with plan of care * Take and record oral, rectal and auxiliary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency. * Provide proper care and observation of patient's skin to prevent breakdown of tissue over bony prominence. * Assess and report on patient's condition and significant changes to the Case Manager; also being aware of the caregiver or other individuals living with the patient and interpersonal issues. * Assist in ambulation and exercise as instructed by the hospice nurse or therapist in accordance with plan of care. * Provide normal range of motion and transfers/positioning in accordance with the plan of care. * Offer and assist with bedpans and urinals.
