Mimecast is looking for an energetic Benefits & HRSI Intern to collaborate with business and HR leaders to help grow an exciting business with a unique culture.

The role will report to the Global Benefits Manager. It will be located at our North America Headquarters in Lexington, Ma. The successful candidate is one that thrives in a collaborative team environment, driven to perform at a very high level. The willingness to learn and be part of a dynamic group. This position provides an opportunity for the individual to gain experience to further their career in Benefits or Human Resources.


As our Benefits and HRIS Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the Global Benefits Manager & HRIS Manager.

The primary duties are as follows:



  • Assist with the administration of benefit plans

  • Health & Welfare


  • File Feed reviews

  • Plan audits

  • Q&A

  • Communication of Benefit Programs

  • Participate in global roll-out of benefit programs

  • Assist in implementing benefit programs both domestic & global. Assist in development of communication tools such as, print, electronic, video

  • RFP

  • Participate in RFP Review

  • Assist in Review vendor responses

  • Assist in compiling results for presentations

  • Wellness

  • Developing Surveys to gather interest in global wellness programs

  • Reviewing/Presenting results

  • Assist with the implementation of programs based on survey data

  • Research Wellness programs for our global employees

  • HRIS

  • Run reports and track errors (duplicates, incorrect data, etc.)

  • Maintain iTracker tickets (open tickets, track progress, provide weekly updates)

  • Help prepare agenda/high priority items for weekly Vibe call

  • Assist with data entry as needed

  • Proofread/review HR decks as needed

  • Assist with process documentation



  • Enrolled in a degree program with an interest in Human Resources Management or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Ability to analyze data

  • Systems savvy and experienced with HRIS, MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Great written and verbal communication skills and a very polished customer service-oriented demeanour

  • Ability to work independently, initiate and identify solutions. Strong analytical skills, sound judgment and proven problem-solving skills

Familiarity with HR and Benefit market, trends and best practices as well as current regulations.

The following program is accepting applicants starting the May 2019 The primary requirement is that students must be able to demonstrate in interest in the population of the program they wish to be placed in. Students must also be able to pass a background check, provide a resume, and 2 references. Students will also need to have a formal interview with the program to which they apply. All accepted students are required to attend Eliot New Staff Orientation (2-7 days, depending on program) and complete any additional orientation/training required by State contracted programs.Several programs require that students have a reliable car.
