Nestle is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst-Employee Benefits to join our collaborative and dynamic team in Arlington, VA.

This position gathers and interprets financial information effectively and forms data into significant and concise analyses while considering a broad range of interdependent issues. Identifies areas for change and makes recommendations while managing multiple demands and competing priorities.

  • You will assist with financial data gathering, analysis and ad hoc reporting related to Benefits/Health/Employee Welfare

  • You will responsible for reconciling NesCARE Benefit Account and report up to leadership

  • Maintain reporting accuracy and integrity of the NesCARE Plan Asset Account on time.

  • Running Medical/Rx/Dental/Vision Claims data reporting and analysis

  • You will lead SAP reporting and Ad Hoc Analysis

  • Perform Month End close activities

  • You will Understand and creating Journal Entries

  • Understanding and creating Intercompany Transactions

  • Maintaining proper controls over Plan Assets accounts according to ERISA

  • Manage and process vendor payments

  • Premium Report Processing and Variance Analysis

  • Provide vendor Cost Analysis

  • Vendor Management and Maintenance

  • Procure to Pay

  • Work on Ad hoc Projects related to standardization of reporting or increasing efficiencies

  • Research moderate to complex benefit issues

  • Utilize probing questions to ensure strong understanding of the issue

  • Gather data from 3rd party administrators (WTW, Carriers, etc) to resolve issues

  • Communicate resolution and next steps

  • Identify trends, document and advance issues as needed

  • Recommend enhancements in Excel/Reporting tools

  • Lead communications and training related to ongoing employee and HR education

  • Respond to urgent and confidential HR request

  • Other duties assigned

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: You will be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal direct supervision. Ability to work independently, with the skills to influence while working with some degree of ambiguity.

Financial/strategic impact:

This position has a direct impact on the Balance sheet and P&L

Requirements and minimum education level:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance. MBA preferred


  • 2-3 years of Accounting/Finance experience required

  • SAP experience is preferred

  • Benefits experience preferred


  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to address all levels within the organization

  • Ability to review and maintain highly confidential data

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Ability to focus on customer needs with a commitment to quality and customer service

  • Effectively handles pressures and demands from multiple customers and competing priorities

  • Results oriented

  • Ability to react quickly to and deliver resolution to meet customer needs in a complex, fast-paced environment

The position plays a key role in making sure that the ECN achieves its COGS and Inventory related financial goals, while also leading core financial processes for the plant. The successful person in this role will drive performance, accountability and predictability throughout the plant activity. Key Role Responsibilities * Provide Finance support to the ECN Plant Manager and her organization, assuring awareness of gaps to targets and offering alternate paths to achieving commitments * Drive accountability for achieving ECN performance metrics. Act as the financial conscience of the ECN plant organization * Lead the annual budget and forecasts for the ECN plant Lead and perform cost and financial analysis for plant operating team. * Drive the development of analytical tools and capabilities to better understand the plant's manufacturing cost structure. Types of analysis includes variance analysis for conversion and material cost, continuous improvement project analysis (Pre- and Post-project implementation), and financial risk assessments. * Understand and show capability to summarize and communicate clearly the plant's financial and operating results in order to measure progress against objectives and to assess the effectiveness of decisions made by plant management team. Work with finance leadership to identify actionable cost reduction and cash flow generation opportunities. * Perform plant cost analyses related to conversion cost and the cost of material for the plant, evaluate organizational design improvements and standardize blocks of work. * Manage the Capital Portfolio Planning process and assist in the payback and project evaluation as part of the request process. Validate anticipated project benefit to the plant via post-project audits. Qualifications and Experience EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field * Previous experience in a plant controller or plant finance leader strongly preferred. Experience with plant standard costing systems * CPA/CMA is a plus * 3+ years of experience in Financial Planning, Operational Finance or Corporate Finance * Well organized and can prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines * Track record of achieving measurable business objectives * Interpersonal skills that establish and maintain excellent relationships and credibility * Demonstrates a high level of understanding of how key finance and manufacturing decisions impact the business units and forecasted operating results/cash flows * Knowledge of US GAAP and International Accounting Standards (IAS) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: * Intense desire to succeed and overcome challenges * Desire to learn and capacity to tackle complex intellectual challenges * Ability to motivate teams, including peers. * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills * Proficient in all other Microsoft Office Products (WORD, PowerPoint) * Ability to work in a fast paced environment with flexing responsibilities * Ability to travel 10% of the time * Displays innovative and proactive approach to work duties * Good interpersonal skills with an ability to work well with others * Works well independently requiring minimal supervision * Team player and willingness to help others * Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines with efforts to streamline processes WORKING CONDITIONS * Will work in an office environment where exposure to production areas is required.
