Position Purpose:# Coordinate and administer the day-to-day benefits programs. Investigate and resolve benefit issues to ensure a positive employee experience while maintaining confidentiality at all times. Provide analytical, technical and audit support in the delivery of the benefit programs.

Create weekly

, biweekly or monthly reports, and conduct analysis as required, for ongoing benefits processing and periodic benefits audits. Coordinate the transfer of benefits data between all vendors, payroll and HRIS.

Administer FMLA , STD and LTD claims in coordination with vendors, managers and employees. Followup consistenly with all parties to ensure accuracy and compliance. Coordinate with Employee Health Manager on Workers# Compensation matters as necessary.

Administer Tuition Assistance, employee discount rewards and other Saint Anthony Hospital programs. Prepare weekly, biweekly or monthly management reports related to benefits and trends; complete benefit surveys as needed.


Bachelors degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred 3-5 years in HR administration and/or benefits coordination experience Solid computer skills with intermediate knowledge of Excel and HRIS administration Ability to critically analyze problems and develop solutions Excellent interpersonal, team work and customer service skills Strong attention to detail and ability to work under daily deadlines while handling multiple tasks Desire to continuously learn more to handle advanced job responsibilities Bilingual English/Spanish preferred#

Reporting to the National Benefits Manager, the Leave of Absence & Benefits Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day administration of BDO's group benefit and leave of absence (LOA) programs in conjunction with the firm's Total Reward Strategy, while providing excellent customer service. Qualifications Education: * Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree preferably in Business Administration, Human Resources or Finance required Experience: * More than 2 years of HR experience in benefits preferred License/Certifications: * PHR preferred Software: * Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite * Experience working with Oracle HCM preferred Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Excellent oral and written communication skills, client service and organization skills * Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing, and compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, Medicare, Social Security and DOL requirements preferred * Solid organizational skills with the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details * Strong analytical and problem solving skills along with attention to detail * Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment * Ability to work in a demanding, deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously * Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients * Capable of maintaining confidential information and matters with discretion * Strong working knowledge of HR policies and practices * Knowledge of ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA, ADA and state regulations regarding benefits * Ability to communicate with all levels of leadership while providing a high level of customer service and confidentiality * Ability to adapt communication style to successfully convey messages and objectives to diverse audience BDO Chicago IL
