Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Benefits Coordinator for the Human Resources Department. The selected individual is responsible for assisting employees with their benefit needs; educating them on what is available to them; and processing their needs according to the University benefit plans. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), 12-month position.
Summary of Duties:
Coordinate insurance benefit plans for employees
Process COBRA; FMLA; and Workers' Compensation administration requirements
Assist in the administration of the University's retirement plan
Prepare multiple reports and account payables on a monthly basis
Conduct benefit training sessions, new hire orientations and exit meetings for employees
Assist in organizing several university events
Provide support to employees on all benefit related questions and general information pertaining to policies and procedures
Bachelor's degree required; experience in lieu of degree will be considered
Human Resources related experience preferred
Active member of the church of Christ
