Job Duties
This position is open only to current Commonwealth of Virginia employees.
The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is in search of an experienced Benefits Consultant. This position supports approximately 2,300 employees with DMV, Motor Vehicle Dealer Board (MVDB), and Aviation. This position serves as the primary liaison and consultant in the administration of the Health Benefits Program, Virginia Sickness and Disability Program (VSDP), Workers Compensation (WC), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and Retirement and Leave Administration. This position also collaborates with third-party administrators, employees, and managers to assist in the return-to-work program.
Essential Duties:
Headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, DMV serves approximately 6.2 million licensed drivers and ID card holders with over 8.4 million registered vehicles. In addition, DMV serves a wide array of businesses, including dealers, fuel tax customers, rental companies, driving schools, other state agencies, local governments, and non-profit organizations.
