THE RIGHT STAFF is currently seeking a Benefits Coding Specialist for a large health insurance organization in Eagan, MN. We are seeking individuals with 2 or more years of office experience and some prior experience with medical claims a huge plus!

Requirements for Benefits Coding Specialist:
2 years of prior general office related experience

High School Diploma or GED required; Associates is highly preferred.

Must be able to calculate percentages

Prior medical insurance & medical terminology experience is preferred

Claims experience is preferred

Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities of Benefits Coding Specialist:

Work with dental and vision related benefit plans to establish new plan designs or amends existing plan designs

Develop the constraints of each plan document by interpreting the summary plan descriptions to ensure proper claim settlement

Enter data into the computer to prepare new policies or changes to existing policies

Audit completed plans, update on-line benefit verification forms, and fax information

Perform other duties as assigned

Promotes and maintains a flexible, cooperative, team-oriented and customer-focused attitude within and between departments/terminals. Understands, supports, and actively promotes Tax-Air's philosophy and commitment to safety and security. Other duties as may be required. Required Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, customer relations, problem-solving and follow-up skills. Proficiency and accuracy in data entry and math computation. Above-average PC skills with the ability to effectively and efficiently process documents and navigate within software applications. Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with continuously changing priorities. Required Experience Minimum 6 months experience in an office environment or customer care/data entry role within the transportation industry. Dispatch experience a plus.
