Provides outstanding service to HR customers including active employees, HR colleagues and retirees for HR-related inquiries. Processes HR transactions specifically in the areas of benefits, retirement and pensions with quality, timeliness and efficiency; troubleshoots and problem solves while encouraging self-service. Supports HRIS administration and testing efforts. Responsibilities include project-based work with various HR Centers of Excellence.
This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.
Essential Functions:
Day to day activities related to the maintenance and troubleshooting of the employee benefits plans and/or retirement/pension plans and benefits and emerging or ongoing HR projects.
Supports managers, employees, and HR staff in the execution and consistent application of core HR processes and activities; provides solutions; coaches and counsels
Provides accurate, consistent and timely responses to HR process and policy requests; provides HR Policy guidance and consistent administration.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
Performs various tasks as assigned, which includes project-based work for the C O E as well as assigned line(s) of business
Executes the development and delivery of HR programs
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements, rules and regulations
Proactively seeks opportunities for continuous improvement and implements approved recommendations
Collaborates with other internal HR business areas to address issues that arise and/or to develop refined processes and procedures
Analyzes trends and metrics in collaboration with other HR business areas
Identifies and appropriately addresses obstacles to goal attainment as well as emerging issues within assigned areas
Provides accurate, timely execution of activities and/or objectives and ensures positive impact on colleagues and customers
Understands the policies, practices and processes of assigned business or functional area, continually strives for their improvement and ensures effective and safe execution
Reaches out to and develops productive relationships with customer leaders - comes to understand customers' needs and concerns - works with other HR staff to translate those needs and concerns into solutions
Builds and maintains strong relationships and communications within HR to share ideas, spearhead inter-disciplinary projects and coordinate common work efforts
Keeps HR management informed of issues, impediments and progress.
Identifies opportunities to simplify processes and ensure they are completed by the appropriate level.

Education:
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of related HR experience required, including demonstrated success in executing HR area-related programs and initiatives.
Must have demonstrated experience with plan administration related to various retirement income plans, such as defined benefit and 401k plans.
Demonstrated skill in providing superior service to customers including but not limited to HR colleagues, active employees, retirees, etc. Demonstrated skill in developing solutions, teamwork and embracing technology.

Working Conditions:
Must be available to work emergency storm assignment as required.
Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
Work is performed primarily in an office environment which requires standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, writing, typing and communicating.
Mental Aspects: This role works in an environment that often requires the performance of multiple simultaneous activities where deadlines need to be met and work is performed sometimes under pressure while involving business commitments and results. Must be able to work independently and collaboratively within the organization and be able to recognize and work with sensitive and confidential information
