Truck Hero has almost doubled in size since early 2018 and that means that we will have almost 2,000 new employees that we will be providing benefits to in 2020 and beyond! We are seeking to fill this newly created role with a driven and experienced team-player that can help to administer our company benefits and support HRIS administration.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the administration of the employee benefits package, which includes the following insurance benefits: Health, Dental, Prescription, Vision and Employee Assistant Program, Basic and Voluntary Life, Long Term Disability plans, a defined contribution retirement plan and statutory benefits (Family Medical Leave).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer employee benefits including day to day vendor operations; eligibility requirements; enrollment procedures; coverage and other related issues.

  • Ensure compliance with all governmental regulations related to benefits.

  • Implements approved new plans and changes by preparing announcement material, booklets, and other media for communicating new plans to employees. Counsel employees on existing benefits.

  • Prepare reports and applications required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies, such as Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor, insurance commissioners, and other regulatory agencies. Review and analyze changes to state and federal laws pertaining to benefits, and reports necessary or suggested changes to management. Coordinate company benefits, with government sponsored programs.

  • Ensure required discrimination testing is completed and corrective actions are taken as necessary for Cafeteria Plans including health and welfare plans.

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of 5500s.

  • Assist in the administration of the HRIS system. Work with key customers to develop reports that are requested.

  • Audit the HRIS system to ensure information is appropriately captured. Work with HR to retrain managers.

  • Work with designing changes to the HRIS system to ensure appropriate system resources, utilization and implementation. Work to train employees (including HR) on the system.

  • Work on new implementations to HRIS, Payroll, and other modules to ensure proper functionality.

  • Responsible for all EDI files to/from the HRIS systems to ensure accuracy.

  • Approves FMLA in accordance with the law. Works with the local HR Manager to assist with FMLA questions.

What you'll do on a typical day: * Conduct interactive conversations with employees on leave of absence (LOA) * Partner with the recruiting and field HR teams to develop media campaigns to drive candidate engagement and increase applicant flow * Serve as a secondary Designated Employer Representative for the drug testing program, including monitoring the medical website for drug and alcohol results, managing random testing, alerting management to positive test results and directing leaders on the immediate removal of the employee, when applicable * Assist with monitoring motor vehicle records by utilizing SuperVision tools, uploading employee files, ordering MVRs and notifying managers of alerts relating to noncompliant or downgraded employee commercial driver's licenses (CDLs) * Complete verifications of employment for prospective employers relating to FMCSR 391.23 requirements What you need to succeed at XPO: At a minimum, you'll need: * 1 year of related work experience * Experience in a large, fast-paced organization * Knowledge of and experience with human resources-related systems and processes * Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) * Proven experience maintaining confidential and sensitive materials and information It'd be great if you also have: * Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field * Experience with enterprise HRIS * Familiarity with FMCSR regulations related to the maintenance of CDLs and drug testing * Capacity to handle multiple tasks and problems simultaneously while meeting deadlines * Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional telephone etiquette * Positive, team-oriented 'can-do' attitude with the capacity to effectively adapt to change Be part of something big.
