SPS Commerce is growing- The HR Total Rewards Team is expanding with the addition of a brand-new Benefits Analyst role. The Benefits Analyst performs research and provides comprehensive analysis to provide recommendations for enhancements, additions and changes to benefit and wellbeing plan designs and programs. In addition, the Benefits Analyst collaborates with the SPS Benefits Team, brokers, and vendors to support employee education, enrollment, participation, and engagement with SPS benefit and wellbeing plans and programs.

The Day-to-Day
The Benefits Analyst will be the primary point of contact supporting day-to-day administration of U.S. and Global plans and programs. As the Benefits Analyst, you'll draft communication, develop education and enrollment materials, plan and coordinate programs and events, and create and deliver presentations for employees and SPS teams. You'll also ensure compliance with SPS, U.S. and Global regulatory requirements, working with the compliance team.
Support plan, policy, and program administration for U.S. and Global employee benefit and wellbeing plans. Collaborating with vendors and brokers to assure seamless enrollment and coverage, access to and accuracy of plan information, and timely resolution of claims and coverage questions or concerns.
Administer employee leave and accommodation requests, including parental leave, short and long-term disability, FMLA, ADA, and other requests for leave. Facilitate communication with Employee, Manager, and HR & payroll teams; Monitor and track vendor processes to support responsive and timely claim administration.
Assist with coordination and execution of annual plan renewals, benefit enrollments, wellbeing programming, and employee events. Planning and scheduling meetings, coordinating logistics, supporting awareness campaigns, collaborating with internal and external partners, and facilitating events and activities.
Partner with HRIS and payroll teams to ensure accurate benefit plan enrollment functionality, including system enhancements, implementation and testing of carrier file feeds, and regular auditing, investigation and resolution of system or process issues.
Assists in the writing & creation of employee communication content including open enrollment guides, benefit and wellbeing program announcements, event promotion materials, and enrollment communications.
Maintain accurate records and compile reports from databases to support plan renewal or plan consideration analysis, provide statistics for reporting purposes, and support engagement and metrics reporting.
Coordinate data gathering and submission of U.S. and Global regulatory filings, non-discrimination testing and data preparation required for plan audits, testing and compliance requirements including DOL, ACA, COBRA, OSHA, Workers' Compensation, and EEOC reporting.
Support the coordination and management of HR programs, initiatives and events or other duties as requested or assigned.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of human resource concepts, practices, procedures, and benefit regulations
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Working knowledge of HRIS systems
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements to support management of employee leaves including FMLA, ADA, and EEOC preferred
Experience working with Self Insured Plans preferred
Experience with global benefits or human resources management preferred
Experience administering Employee Wellbeing programs and initiatives preferred
