Job Title: Benefits Analyst

Offer Range: $76,869-$93,821

POSITION SUMMARY

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Benefits Analyst that will take us to the next level of support for our employees. This position will oversee our health and welfare plans and leave of absence and wellness programs. A successful team member must be able to manage competing demands while being extremely adaptable and flexible to constant changing business requirements. We offer a hybrid arrangement that offers the ability to work from home and our office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent must be able to perform all the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Leads Open Enrollment, including benefit administration configuration and testing, benefit health fair planning, employee communications drafting, presenting plans to all employees and plan document review.

  • Pays and reconciles monthly invoices for benefit carriers.

  • Conducts benefit premium, employee status, enrollment and retirement audits.

  • Serves as a liaison between employees and vendors, partner with vendors to resolve claim, billing, and enrollment issues.

  • Monitors ACA eligibility and resolve any discrepancies with the ACA vendor.

  • Processes and monitors any retirement contribution and loan changes.

  • Oversees all compliance related processes (5500s, Non-Discrimination testing, etc.)

  • Coordinates leaves of absences between employee, third party vendor and HR team.

  • Creates, implements and evaluates a comprehensive wellness program.

  • Identifies and recommends improvements to current processes to ensure that overall performance is aligned with business objectives and metrics.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.

  • At least 5 years of health and welfare and leave administration experience.

  • Possesses fundamental knowledge of benefits and employment/leave of absence related laws, regulations and practices; (i.e., COBRA, Section 125, ADAAA, FMLA, CFRA, PDLL, OSHA, Workers' Compensation, ERISA, 401(k), 457).

  • Advanced MS Office skills.

  • Advanced level written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff and external partners/vendors.

  • A track record of personal accountability, strong work ethic, integrity, and proven organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.

The position works closely with the Benefit and Payroll departments to resolve any discrepancies found in the accounts.</p><p>The position is a Full-Time, Exempt opportunity.
