The Benefits Analyst reports to the Director of Benefits and is responsible for day-to-day administration of the Americas Benefits Program. This position interacts with internal and external stakeholders, including current and former employees, beneficiaries, HR, accounting, legal, and payroll. To be successful in the role, the Benefits Analyst will need to be a problem solver and possess exceptional analytical and customer service skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides administrative and analytical support to the Americas benefit program (US, Canada, Mexico), including enrollment, financial reconciliations, analysis, technical and customer support
Responsible for partnering with benefits administration provider to ensure system integrity and address any issues timely
Manages benefit invoicing process including routine reconciliations in collaboration with payroll and external vendor partners
Provides internal consulting to HR colleagues, employees and other customers concerning benefit plans and provisions, and related compliance requirements
Responds to benefit inquiries from current and former employees in a timely manner
Partners with stakeholders to document administrative procedures, processes and workflows and makes recommendations for process improvement to continuously improve efficiency
Manages IHG's wellness program including educational campaigns, events, and Health Fairs; Identifies communication and education opportunities
Supports the Benefits Manager with US open enrollment
Liaise with vendor partners to ensure accurate transmission of files
Conduct and/or participate in benefit surveys; analyze results; and provide recommendations regarding policy/program revisions to leadership to ensure the Company's competitive posture is maintained
Supports internal and external audits of benefits programs
Maintain program contracts, addendums and renewals
Other projects as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA degree and a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible broad based, employee benefits experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Benefits certification(s) desired.
Knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, Workers Compensation and Department of Labor
Ability to take initiative, multitask, prioritize, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
Strong analytical skills with an understanding of benefit plan designs
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to apply resolutions
Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Exceptional attention to detail required
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Proficient in Microsoft Office

Pay Transparency:
The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $90,000. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Eastern and Central Time Zones. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
