The Benefits Advisor- Voluntary Enrollment Solution Manager will serve as the field based, local enrollment liaison for voluntary products. Responsibilities include partnering with our sales team, brokers and clients to ensure the development and execution of strategies designed to maximize new business enrollment results, serving as the field-based subject matter expert on all aspects of enrollment of the voluntary products with a solid focus on driving enrollment results. The Benefits Advisor will work with clients and brokers to obtain agreement on enrollment plans to execute a seamless client enrollment experience.

This involves handling the end to end client enrollment including influencing the client and/or broker on adopting a Cigna Managed Enrollment strategy (or enhancing an already determined strategy) as well as facilitating the planning/execution of onsite enrollment event to maximize enrollment results, coordination of internal teams, preparing enrollment event staffing and materials.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Proactively working with sales and brokers to advocate the value of a Cigna Managed Enrollment

  • Driving clients to adopt an enrollment strategy that increases participation

  • Ownership of the client enrollment process, including implementation of the enrollment strategy to event, collaboration with internal partners and third party enrollment vendor resources

  • Obtains final sign off of sold plans and rates, client information, prepares marketing collaterals and enrollment materials for client event

  • Ensure accuracy of all communication materials, data file requirements/system setup, review TPA enrollment portal and prepare call center

  • Coordinate onsite event (Communications, scheduling and training vendor enrollers, presentations, materials, etc.)

  • Lead all client discussion focused on the clients enrollment event including enrollment strategies, enrollment checklist, product implementation, execution of onsite enrollment activities and will serve as the point of contract to address client issues throughout the enrollment.

  • A Bachelor's degree strongly preferred

  • Superior knowledge of group employee benefits, including subject matter expertise in the areas of Voluntary products that include life, accident and disability policies, as well as accidental injury and critical illness insurance

  • Experience servicing voluntary or contributory lines, as well as conducting and leading enrollment events is strongly preferred with a solid understanding of the sales, implementation, and enrollment processes

  • Aptitude to effectively build and maintain partnerships with internal and external partners

  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to drive execution, initiate action and follow-ups to successful completion

  • Proven track record of managing administrative functions to ensure quality and consistency

  • Exceptional verbal, written and communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to travel within assigned territory, including periodic overnight travel is required

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required

  • Life and Health license (Must be obtained with 90 days of employment)

This role will be located within the Cigna sales office reporting directly to the Enrollment Manager and will be responsible for providing progress updates to the Regional Sales Manager.
