Kaman Distribution Group (KDG) has a vacancy for a self-motivated, attention to detail and result-driven candidate to join our Employee Services team in Bloomfield, CT.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate current employment-related programs for opportunities of automation and improvement; implementation and ongoing monitoring to ensure compliance with all state and federal laws.

  • Responsible for maintaining the accuracy and completeness of HR data, records and communications including entering benefit, salary, address change, job/cost center changes, new hires and terminations in the Enterprise HRIS system.

  • Coordinate onboarding for new hires and termination processing for exiting employees.

  • Provide assistance with creating and communicating corporate policies, procedures, and benefits.

  • Coordinate employee FMLA and Short Term Disability leaves with third party vendor.

  • Assist with managing the Fit for Life wellness program and Wellness Committee.

  • Establish and maintains confidential files and records including employee data entry in the Enterprise HRIS, creating and generating reports as required.

  • Responding to inquiries from employees, HR Managers and both internal and external partners. Research problems, recommend solutions and resolve in a timely manner.

  • Assist with other HR Department projects as assigned and benefit open enrollment initiatives.

  • Complies with statutory requirements, Kaman Benefit Plan provisions, HR SOX Procedures.

  • Work closely with the Payroll Department to ensure accuracy of all current benefits deductions, annual deduction changes, and additional deductions, as they occur.

This position, Benefits Administrator, requires familiarity with, training in, and understanding of the general requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) as well as HIPAA Policies and Procedures adopted and maintained by Kaman Corporation's HIPAA covered group health plans. The position will require the individual holding it to come into contact Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined under HIPAA on behalf of the group health plans. Therefore, the person holding the position of Benefits Administrator will be required to properly maintain, use and/or disclose PHI as set forth under the law and documented in Kaman's HIPAA Policies and Procedures and to undergo initial and periodic training as may be deemed appropriate by Kaman and or the group health plans.

Supporting this strategy is our Over 500 US Markets Client Consulting & Analytics Team; whose mission is to demonstrate Cigna's value proposition through expert consultation with our clients. As Informatics Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for advising the strategic direction of a 40 account book of Over 500 US Market clients through the use of analytical tools to create insights-driven recommendations. In this role you will be responsible for designing and managing studies as requested by internal and external clients for purposes of improving health, and analyzing business opportunities and areas for improvement. You will have a significant role in the quality and integrity of data collected, analysis performed, and reports generated. This highly visible role will be responsible for maintaining client relationships and ensuring Client Informatics is delivering the value demanded by our most visible clients. Highly detailed analysis of client data Prepare client specific cost, trend and utilization analysis on an approximately 40 account book of business. Conduct ad hoc analyses by synthesizing large volumes of data into meaningful conclusions that help the client make informed decisions Evaluate client specific (when available) return of Cigna's clinical and health engagement tools and programs. Identify and quantify benefit program opportunities that enhance Cigna's relationship with each client. Analyze network opportunity through Client specific networks assessments Drive product and service solutions Deliver client-specific information to drive/validate overall engagement strategy. Demonstrating product opportunity during client result presentations Establishing direct client relationships on key accounts with client influencers/buyers. Identify emerging risks and opportunities to distribution leadership.
