Benefits Administrator III

Supports the telephone "hotline" function. Directs telephone calls or written inquiries to appropriate personnel. May answer non-technical questions regarding company products. Maintains log of incoming "hotline" calls.

  • Responds to phone and/or email requests from clients that are utilizing our online benefits enrollment applications as it relates to benefit plan details, functionality, navigation and general use of software applications

  • Provide an accurate timeframe for issue resolution

  • Accurately creating and documenting the customer interaction that occurred within Salesforce

  • Contributing to a team effort by accomplishing results as needed

Required Experience:

  • BA/BS degree preferred

  • Previous service industry or professional services experience preferred

  • Successful track record providing anticipatory customer service Professional phone presence required

  • A passion for helping others and resolving issues

  • Excellent customer service and client relationship skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once

  • Familiarity with hospital systems / plans preferred

  • Benefit plan administration (medical, dental, and vision) knowledge preferred

  • Able to thrive in a fast paced and innovative work environment Ability to escalate issues as needed

  • Excellent communication skills

Benefits Administrator – Contractor Join our growing Benefitfocus Team! Benefitfocus is seeking professional and motivated individuals to support our customers during our Open Enrollment season, beginning on October 14th in our Greenville, SC hub. As a Benefits Administrator, you will provide customer support via phone and email, guiding and help navigate our customers through their benefits enrollment. In this temporary position, you will: * Join an awesome, one-of-a kind team. We will place you on a "Surge Team" to connect with a group of your peers and a Benefitfocus mentor * Receive structured 2-3 week training through Benefitfocus University * Gain experience using Salesforce, JIRA (our issue management system), Microsoft Office Suite, and other software programs What you will do: * Serve as the first point of contact for customers over the phone.
