What you'll do:

The Benefits Administrator is responsible for supporting and administering the day-to-day operations of the HR department. Duties include administration of benefits and special leave and maintenance of HRIS systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the day-to-day operations of the HR department.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Manages the administration of benefits including insurance and 401k.
  • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors which may include health disability and retirement plan providers.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants employees and supervisors referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR staff.
  • Executes annual benefits enrollment.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Performs monthly audits of benefit payroll deductions and request corrections from payroll as needed.
  • Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings for all group plans.
  • Provides customer service support to internal and external customers.
  • Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations and open enrollment.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits and leave productivity recognition and morale.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field (preferred).
  • 1 year of Human Resources or benefits administration experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with payroll management HRIS and ATS applications.
