Job Title: Benefit Systems Implementation Lead

The Benefit System Implementation Lead is responsible for providing tactical and strategic analytical support through gathering and analyzing data, defining business specifications, and analyzing and documenting business processes. Responsibilities also include researching, testing, planning, maintaining eligibility and writing project documentation. Work in a deadline-driven environment collaboratively with the rest of the team.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs carrier audits and reconciliation spreadsheets to ensure data integrity.

  • Responsible for testing business applications, including custom software, and web site benefit administration applications for functionality, accuracy and adherence to specifications.

  • Review requirements and prepare test cases and testing outcomes to validate behaviors

  • Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action.

  • Log the defects in a detailed, understandable and reproducible way, tracking all assigned defects through to closure and interacting with members of the development team to resolve discovered defects.

  • Meet with team to capture detailed functional requirements, business rules, end-to-end workflow, etc.

  • Recommends operational and process improvements based on needs identified.

  • Produces documentation, including, analytical reports, training plans, business justifications.

  • Supports client renewal tasks

  • Projects as assigned by management


Basic Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented individual with good analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • BA or BS degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

  • Strong interpersonal skills required.

  • Able to work within tight deadlines and be adept at balancing shifting priorities and time management.

  • Strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Accept personal accountability and ownership for areas of responsibility.

  • Knowledge of process improvement, workflow, and evaluation processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance goals of the organization with goals of the client.

  • Ability to understand and represent the needs of the end user in a software development environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with expertise in v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.

  • Experience with HR information systems and applications

  • Employee benefits knowledge

  • PlanSource experience preferred

Primary Duties andResponsibilities: * Prepare,review and negotiate various commercial contracts for D&S's healthsystems distribution business and the Company's hospital pharmacyconsulting affiliate, including group purchasing organization memberagreements, vendor agreements and pricing agreements; marketing servicesagreements; consulting agreements; letters of intent; confidentialityagreements; and technology and licensing agreements. * Provide legalassistance and regulatory guidance across Health Systems & SpecialtyCare Solutions organization, with a particular emphasis on hospital-facingactivity. * Buildrelationships with internal business clients through a responsive,collaborative and solution oriented approach. * Conductregulatory training and work with the compliance team to ensure thatpolicies and procedures are in place to protect the interests of thebusiness. * Ensure thatall contracts or agreements accurately reflect business objectives as wellas compliance with all laws and regulatory requirements. * Appraise andkeep management informed about the impact of legislative, judicial, andregulatory developments affecting the policies and operations of thebusiness. * Workcollaboratively with other associates in the Legal Department, as well asCompany executives and business unit leaders of various operatingdivisions. * Select andmanage outside counsel, including establishing procedures for evaluatingthe quality and cost of services, on an as-needed basis. * Participatein business development meetings and strategic planning sessions to ensurecommitments and obligations are in the Company's best interest and noconflict of interest or other issues exist. * Performsrelated duties as assigned. Law Degree - must be agraduate of an accredited law school and admitted into the State barassociation.
