The Tuckahoe Family YMCA is currently seeking a Belay Instructor to teach and assist at our rock climbing wall.

Direct responsibilities include providing adventure programs that teach technical rock climbing skills and safety, lead participants through adventure games and various other activities. The Instructor will also manage and maintain cleanliness of equipment, build and relationships with all staff and program participants, and participate in program activities and meetings.
At least one year of programmatic experience in belay instruction is required. Candidates must be certified in AED, CPR and First Aid within 30 days of employment.
Extended periods of time will be spent standing. Frequent lifting and carrying of equipment will be necessary; candidates should be able to lift and carry 75 lbs.
