Role and Responsibility:

Accountable for the regional implementation of the CareSource Behavioral Health Program across all products in assigned Region to ensure achievement of CareSource's strategic and business plans. Additionally responsible for collaboration with market Behavioral Health leadership and Care4U leadership to ensure operational, clinical and provider execution of CareSource's behavioral health quality and advocacy goals.

  • Implement the CareSource Behavioral Health program in the Region to support the Care4U model

  • Accountable for Regional Planning with Care4U teams, and for implementing CareSource's behavioral health programs in each region

  • Responsible to work with operational, provider-facing and clinical leadership to implement all provider programs and initiatives

  • Deliver Behavioral Health subject matter expertise in region to support the Care4U model

  • Responsible for full working knowledge of Enterprise Behavioral Health library, Self-management tools, core activities pertaining to conditions, workflows for prevention/illness evaluation and condition specific resources, as well as best practice clinical skills building

  • Accountable for ensuring all Region Staff are trained in Behavioral Health and all specific Behavioral Health roles receive ongoing development and support

  • Implement the CareSource Behavioral Health Program for members through the Care4U regional teams

  • Responsible to ensure that all specific and general Consumer Experience efforts include Behavioral Health

  • Responsible for collaboration with members of each regional inter-disciplinary team to ensure member outcomes

  • Consult, as requested, in development of the care coordination plan and provision of interventions within the appropriate scope of practice

  • Accountable for participation with Care Manager and inter-disciplinary teams when working with Behavioral Health network

  • Provide Support and oversight to the CareSource Behavioral Health Partners Program

  • Responsible for educating and ensuring execution of Health Partner Program, in collaboration with health partner staff, in region on Behavioral Health Partner Core Infrastructure : including but not limited to new services, incentives, data sharing, technical assistance documents (to include FAQs and Tips for credentialing, contracting, onboarding processes), and integrated care coordination

  • Responsible for promoting integrated care Behavioral Health into Primary Care and integration of Primary Care into Behavioral Heath settings through provider and health partner staff training and leadership

  • Responsible to consult with health partner staff on education and engagement of behavioral health providers

  • Provide peer mentoring and Behavioral Health education

  • Responsible for assisting with mentoring of regionally identified individual contributors, team leaders and managers who would benefit for additional Behavioral Health SME

  • Responsible to provide leadership and mentoring for all staff on regional behavioral health initiatives

  • Regular travel to conduct member visits, provider visits and community based visits as needed to ensure effective administration of the program

  • Perform other job-related instructions as requested

Key Decision Rights:

  • Collaborate with Regional operational, provider-facing and clinical operational managers to implement all provider programs and initiative

  • Participate and drive Behavioral Health programming in Regional Planning with Care4U teams

  • Prioritize Behavioral Health focused Provider Relationships

  • Consult on all identified Regional Behavioral Health compliance in all market provider agreements, Market fidelity activities and requirements

Cross Functional Interactions:

  • Program collaboration with Market Manager and peer BH Facilitators and Health Partner staff to ensure consistent quality implementation of BH Program and initiatives

Matrixed responsibilities with Regional Managers on Behavioral Health compliance and quality


Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare field or equivalent relevant work experience is required

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in social work, or related healthcare field, working with a behavioral health population in a Medicaid Managed Care, hospital, Community Behavioral Health, and/or similar case management setting is required

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in community behavioral health is preferred

  • Experience with local community resources combined with federal, state and faith-based resources is preferred

  • Experience in managed care organization is preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Licensure / Certification:

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Professional Counselor (PC), or Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC) licensure in state of practice is required

  • Employment in this position is conditional pending successful clearance of a driver's license record check. If the driver's license record results are unacceptable, the offer will be withdrawn or, if employee has started employment in position, employment in the position will be terminated


  • Collaborate with operational, provider-facing and clinical staff to implement all provider programs and initiatives in the region

  • Participate and drive Behavioral Health programming in Regional Planning with Care4U teams

  • Collaborating with the Market BH Manager and Director on the development and execution of an advocacy strategy,

  • Maintain Regional Behavioral Health focused Provider Relationships

Working Conditions:

  • Mobile Worker: This is a mobile position, meaning that regular travel to different work locations is essential. Will be exposed to weather conditions typical of the location and may be required to stand and/or sit for long periods of time.

  • Reside in the same territory they are assigned to work in ; exceptions may be considered, due to business need

  • May be required to travel greater than 50% of time to perform work duties. A valid driver's license, car, and insurance are necessary for work related travel

  • Required to use general office equipment, such as a telephone, photocopier, fax machine, and personal computer

Job Description: Maintains a close and highly responsive working relationship with the day-to-day activities of the Director and Managers of the Employee Health & Safety Program (EH&S) and their associated reporting functions. Collaborates with various Baptist entities and the overall EH&S department to establish and promote company initiatives, and to ensure continuity of care for employees throughout the organization. Organizes, implements, communicates, schedules, and elicits support for key projects and various components of the EH&S program across the health system, such as recurrent influenza, respiratory, and new hire onboarding events. Coordinates and disseminates standardized education and communication on behalf of the various components of the program, for each worker group served through the program. Administratively supports the Employee Health & Safety system-wide program, and ensures that all administrative functions within the EH&S program run smoothly. Has the ability to assume responsibility without direct supervision. Performs work of a highly confidential nature; makes decisions within the scope of authority; and relieves the administrative and supports coordinating duties of the department. Demonstrates flexibility, initiative, good judgment, and knowledge of internal and external customers, broad knowledge of organization and company policies and procedures. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: The following is a summary of the major functions of this individual's job. He/she may perform other duties, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below, and specific functions may change from time to time. Assembles and maintains a quick reference of up-to-date state or federal regulatory requirements, OSHA standards, accrediting or certifying bodies (i.e. Joint Commission, HFAP, Magnet, etc.), specialty specific standards or guidance (i.e. immunity, health hazards, disease treatment or prevention, safety, and wellness), along with supporting questionnaires and associated documentation and reporting. Assists with standardization, development, and communication of policy, process, and program service model. Maintains current reference for program specific regulations, guidelines, and standards. Creates and distributes standardized communication materials and formats regarding pre-defined program requirements, education, services, and announcements for all worker groups served through the program. Communicates with various groups served within the program to ensure understanding of services and associated updates, and assists to coordinate requirements, enrollments, services, and establishing access and troubleshooting software access issues. Assists to create and distributes standardized pre-defined program information and education (i.e. presentations, handbooks, orientation, Develop You modules, marketing blips, monthly safety/wellness themes, including standardized contributions to policies and control plans owned outside of the EH&S program, etc.) for the various worker groups serviced through the EH&S program. Assists with coordination, implementation, and communication of safety and wellness themes, events, and initiatives for the program. Assists with scheduling, coordination, and training for new processes and special initiatives throughout the organization, including applicable documentation for accurate reporting. Elicits organizational support for special initiatives and/or staffing needs to promote future goals. Maintains current lists and/or contacts for key program and health / wellness referral resources throughout the health system. Assists with integration of program components throughout the health system, including new program requirements and/or integration of new acquisitions with subsequent alignment of policy and process, software, and effective training, communication, and support throughout onboarding process. Assists with coordination, education, compliance, and communication of various new and existing program components including the statewide influenza campaign- scheduling, staff support in all locations, vaccines and supplies, communication of service options, compliance, and requirements; organization and communication of the annual respiratory program, access and education of event users, and overall compliance; communication and support of the new hire onboarding process, enrollment, immunity history, orders for testing and referrals, follow-up of completion within allotted timelines; development and communication of new hazard drug surveillance program; transition of initial incident reporting to ReadySet; and standardization of exposure program, department coordination to support exposures, communication of exposure events and next steps. Assists with audits and investigations. Performs various administrative support functions for the overall EH&S department such as scheduling meetings, staff appreciation, coordinating staff training, registrations, itineraries, travel, procuring office supplies, tracking and cataloging receipts and invoices, maintaining office equipment. Monitors staffing and elicits support for unanticipated absences and/or high volume services or exposures. Composes, transcribes, proofs, and/or edits various documents or reports in a timely and accurate manner, including meeting minutes, presentations, invoices, budgets, and spreadsheets, policies, and job descriptions. Maintains documents within shared drive and assists EH&S staff to locate information. Reconciles and maintains expense records for various components of the program throughout the health system, and assists in the preparation of the annual budget process. Assists in coordinating standard pricing for services obtained on behalf of the program though Baptist Health interdisciplinary services and in establishing a method of assigning market value to services performed within the EH&S program. Creates and maintains professional reports and supporting program documents in a variety of reporting formats, and presents data to various audiences throughout the health system.
