Therapeutic care includes: Conducting psychosocial assessments, conducting individual, group and family therapy sessions, participating in the interdisciplinary treatment and transition and discharge process. Demonstrates actions and attitudes that contribute to the critical success factors of the organization (i.e. Best place to work, most extraordinary experience, superior outcomes, financial success for reinvestment, valued as a faith-based organization, and a growing organization vital to the community

Job Responsibilities:

1.Initiates and implements complete, comprehensive psychosocial assessments
2.Provides individual, group, and family therapies to clients and their families
3.Participates in and interdisciplinary treatment team to propose and develop strategies and interventions that would promote excellent therapeutic outcomes
4.Assesses and intervenes in cases of suspected/disclosed child/adult neglect/abuse issues Documents services provided and disseminates information/reports to community referral sources and agencies, i.e., DJJ, DSS, HHS, APS, CPS, LCC, etc
5.Coordinates with the interdisciplinary team, referral sources, and community resources aftercare and supportive services to ensure a successful discharge planning process. Promotes positive patient-family-community relations
6.Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to diffuse psychotic and/or behavioral crises to ensure client, unit, and staff safety an stability
7.Other duties as assigned

Master's Degree in Social Work /Counseling or equivalent Master's Degree in a recognized health field
1 year experience preferred

The Outpatient Wellness Clinic (OWC) provides medication management and psychotherapy services to a diverse population of children, families and adults. As part of Adventist HealthCare's initiative to integrate behavioral health into primary care, the Behavioral Health Therapist, Sr. will provide individual, group and family therapy to children, adolescents and adults referred by primary care providers using evidence based therapeutic modalities. The Behavioral Health Therapist, Sr. will provide services in the Outpatient Wellness Clinic and Adventist Medical Group primary care provider offices. The Behavioral Health Therapist, Sr. will serve on a multi-disciplinary team to coordinate patient care. Responsibilities: Complete initial psychosocial assessments, individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy to children, adolescents and adults Complete timely documentation abiding by The Joint Commission quality standards Provide case management and care coordination for patients, and collaborate on shared patients with primary care providers Required Qualifications: Master's degree in social work, or doctorate degree in psychology (Phd or PsyD) Current clinical license in the state of Maryland (LCSW-C or psychology license) 3-5 years' experience providing direct patient care in behavioral health Required Competencies: Strong knowledge of psychological disorders, abnormal psychology and therapeutic modalities and interventions Experience in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, family therapy, and supportive therapy. Formal training preferred Experience in providing behavioral health services in a primary care provider office preferred.
