Home and Community Based Youth and Family Therapist

  • Do you have a passion for working with children and families? We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic licensed clinician who want to empower youth and families by creating strength-based behavior change that will be sustained long after treatment ends.

    Working with a small caseload of families? A flexible schedule?

  • You will receive ongoing team support, training, and supervision in the Multisystemic Therapy (MST) model as you work holistically with families, youth, their communities, and other key members of their ecology to implement MST a research-based, outcome-driven treatment model as designed.

  • Local data has shown to improve parenting skills to handle future problems, improve family relationships, and increase network of supports. This team has a strong track record of client engagement and retention and reducing risk for out-of-home placement

Recruitment bonus: Dependent on the number of qualifying applicants for this position, the hiring unit will consider offering a $5,000-$15,000 Recruitment Bonus and/or Reimbursement of Moving Expenses to the successful applicant. SEHSC will support efforts for obtaining licensing in North Dakota both in supervision and financial assistance.

To be considered for the Clinician position, you are required to have a master's degrees in Social Work, Counseling, or areas approved by the North Dakota Board of Counseling Examiners and ND licensure as a LCSW or LPCC. OR masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy AND licensure as LMFT by the ND Board of Marriage and Family Therapy OR a masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology with eligibility for licensure as LMFT by the ND Board of Marriage and Family Therapy. OR a Doctorate in Psychology and ND licensure as a psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners.

We will consider filling this position as a Human Relations Counselor at a reduced rate.

Human Relations Counselors must have master's degrees in Counseling and LAPC licensure, as well as be within two years of LPCC licensure. Details regarding licensure status and the number of training hours already obtained must be submitted with the application.

This position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.

Location: ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position provides essential client services face to face and therefore the person in this position needs to be able to travel to meet clients at their location.
