Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Connects with new participants, on site or while the participant is incarcerated or hospitalized, to obtain referral information and necessary solutions.

  • Teaches recovery and life skills using recovery tools.

  • Cultivates connectedness in the person's life (self, others, the environment, and to meaning and purpose).

  • Assesses emergency situations, notifies supervisor of actual or potential challenges, exercises judgment in stressful conditions and responds calmly and quickly.

  • Completes clinical documentation as required.

  • Develops and maintains community resources for education, information and referrals appropriate to participant's needs.

  • Understands and adheres to RI International compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Driving Requirements:

  • If driving is required for this position, must meet all requirements outlined in RI International driving policy.

  • If not qualified to drive per driving policy, a Non-Driver Attestation form must be signed.

Physical Demands:

May include work close to the eyes and substantial motions of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, handling, finger dexterity; eye-hand-foot coordination, use of corrected vision; color vision; use of auditory senses. May be required to lift up to twenty (20) pounds.

Work Environment

May work in an office environment or behavioral health facility. May have contact with individuals who are agitated and/or confused. Work may include travel throughout the geographic region.

VIEW JOBS 9/5/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-12-04T00:00 Essential Job Functions: * Provides a welcoming environment for new participants using the Recovery Coaching process. * Connects with new participants to obtain identifying and referral information, strengths, and solutions sought. * Provides peer support to engage participants in a recovery partnership based on the principles of mutuality and "being with, not fixing." * Models hope, personal responsibility, and self-advocacy by sharing his or her personal recovery story, how recovery goals can be respectfully met and how a belief in self is maintained. * Assists participants in identifying their hopes and dreams and the solutions they are seeking by using the Recovery Coaching process to develop and record an individualized Recovery and Wellness plan. * Teaches recovery and life skills using recovery tools (e.g. WRAP, WELL, etc.) individually and/or in a class setting. * Cultivates connections in the person's life (self, others, the environment and to meaning and purpose). * Assists in developing natural supports and community living by partnering with each participant to strengthen valued roles (friend, spouse, employee, student, etc.) so a greater sense of identity is established. * Contacts and involves participant's support system. * Works with the person and others to arrange continuing services as needed. * Partners with each guest to maintain a safe environment by performing tasks including, but not limited to: * Participate as a team member to create an attractive environment (e.g. contribute to the care of the physical appearance of the facility) * Safety/Wellness checks with guests completing required documentation * Other duties as assigned. Documentation: * Documents relevant and required information and services provided in the identified services record (electronic or otherwise) assuring continuity of care as a tool for communication with other team members. * Maintain and observe all HIPAA regulations that apply. * Provide timely, quality and accurate documentation in accordance with program standards. Working Conditions: Works in a behavioral health out-patient facility. May have contact with people who are agitated and confused mitigated by de-escalation training. Works a standard work week by may be required to work some evenings and weekends to monitor program activities. Works includes travel throughout the geographic region.
