  • Per Diem, Various shifts and hours a week.# *Includes Per Diem Differential. Boulder Community Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician, who implements delegated aspects of patient treatment plans and participates in a therapeutic milieu under the direction of the clinician in charge.

#Bachelor#s degree in Psychology, Social Work or preferred.

#BLS certification and de-escalation training required by the end of conditional period.

#One-year experience in an inpatient and/or outpatient psychiatric facility preferred Responsibilities # ## #Demonstrates ability to assess, treat and or care for patients throughout the developmental lifespan from adult to Geriatric patients.

#Demonstrates basic knowledge and understanding of DSM-5 diagnosis.

#Demonstrated knowledge of suicide prevention strategies, assesses for suicidal ideation and implements suicide prevention interventions as appropriate.

#Assesses the milieu, identifies priorities and communicates the priorities to the Charge RN or clinician in charge.

#Demonstrates an ability to set effective limits consistent with hospital philosophy and treatment plans. #.## #Demonstrates ability to effectively use de-escalations skills and practices situational awareness to manage milieu and maintain unit safety to attain treatment goals

#Demonstrates leadership in managing milieu for safety structure to attain treatment goals.

#Develops, maintains and terminates a therapeutic relationship with patients.

#Records observation of significant patient behavior through progress notes.

#Implements program schedule, leads or co-facilitates therapeutic groups and individual activities, and maintains appropriate structure for patients.
