The Adult Mental Health Unit has Behavioral Health Technician positions open! Applying to this position will allow us to consider you for all full-time Behavioral Health Technician positions currently open:

• 64-72 hours every two weeks (day/evening rotation 7 a.m.

• 3:30 p.m. & 3:00 p.m.

• 11:30 p.m.)

• 72-80 hours every two weeks (8 & 12-hour day shift rotation 7 a.m.

• 3:30 p.m. & 7:00 a.m.

• 7:30 p.m.)

• 72-80 hours every two weeks (8 & 12-hour overnight shift rotation 11 p.m.

• 7:30 a.m. & 7:00 p.m.

• 7:30 a.m.)

• 64-72 hours every two weeks (8 & 12-hour overnight shift rotation 11 p.m.

• 7:30 a.m. & 7:00 p.m.

• 7:30 a.m.)

• 64-72 hours every two weeks (8-hour overnight shift 11 p.m.

• 7:30 a.m.)

All positions are benefit eligible!

All positions include working a weekend rotation (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

All positions include a holiday rotation

What you'll do:

• Provide direct and indirect care of adult patients to meet their physical, educational, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.

• Give care to patients as directed by the RN following established hospital/unit policies and procedures.

• Be involved in patient care activities which may include, but not limited to: assisting with the needs and comfort of patients to include hygiene, activity, nutrition and treatments; therapeutic interactions with patients, patient safety rounds, vital signs, patient and belonging searches, patient transportation to tests/procedures, and gathering patient and family information.

What you'll have:

• High School diploma, GED (or equivalent) required.

• 2 years of college with courses in psychology, sociology, and/or social work or comparable job experience preferred.

• Six months experience in nursing assistant or similar role preferred.

• Ability to effectively handle escalating behavior and utilize physical safety holds with aggressive patients.

• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training initial and on-going training provided.
