The Behavioral Health Technician functions as a member of the treatment team and accepts responsibilities for specifically assigned duties, such as patient observation rounds, suicide risk observation and assisting with behavior modification programs. They are an integral part of the Behavioral Health team.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required (associate's or bachelor's degree preferred).

Licensure/Certification:

  • Must qualify for CPR training (within 30 days of hire)
  • Must also quality for CPI training (within 30 days of hire)

Experience:

  • Prefer at least one year of experience as a Mental Health or CNA in a healthcare setting.
