Behavioral Specialist (BHS)

Schedule: Flexible schedule and hours | No weekends
LifeCircles PACE provides all-inclusive care to frail seniors in the community who desire to remain in their home but need additional support to achieve that goal. Geriatric appropriate clinical services are provided both in the onsite clinics and in participant's homes.
Overview
The Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) provides a range of behavioral health services including assessment, psychotherapy, health behavior interventions, interdisciplinary team consultation, and team member training. The BHS works closely with an interdisciplinary team to optimize the functioning of participants, support coping through chronic disease, and help people thrive in the community.
What you'll do
Interdisciplinary team consultation, team member training, and care partner coaching
Biopsychosocial and differential diagnostic assessment
Behavioral health consultation and treatment planning
Direct (individual and group) behavioral health services across a variety of settings including the day center, participant's homes, acute and long-term care
Program development and quality improvement initiatives related to person-centered care and psychosocial wellness of participants, care partners, and team members.
What it takes
Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Applied Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Mental Health, or equivalent
Active Michigan license to practice behavioral health services. Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW) preferred.
Experience or training in:
providing behavioral health services such as assessment, psychotherapy, counseling, and behavioral consultation
working with older adults, people with serious mental illness, and/or people with disabilities
working in medical settings with integrated health teams
Knowledge of evidence-based practice and comfort with integrated approaches to care preferred
Experience with substance use treatment, dialectical behavior therapy, or caregiver training a plus preferred
