The Behavioral Health Resource RN provides direct nursing care and support for all clinical departments across our campus to ensure continuity of patient care. In partnership with clinical leadership, physicians and unit staff, the Behavioral Resource RN assures that the standards of nursing practice for behavioral based interventions and optimal patient outcomes are achieved.

Utilizes knowledge of our behavioral health patient population and growth and development over the life span and demonstrates skill in the independent application of this knowledge to the nursing care process. Independently initiates and completes patient assessments throughout the continuum of care (admission to discharge); identifying physical, social and psychological response of patient and family using interviewing and physical assessment skills. Demonstrates the ability to establish therapeutic relationships with both adult and adolescent patients.

Demonstrates understanding of the principles of crisis prevention and interventions and independently utilizes techniques to manage psychiatric emergencies in a safe and effective manner while promoting the rights and dignity of the patient. Demonstrates the ability to appropriately delegate to other team members to assure the delivery of patient centered quality care. Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

BSN preferred. Minimum 2 years current nursing experience. Behavioral health experience preferred. BLS. Current NH RN License.
