Behavioral Health Professional (Bhp)

Woodfords Family Services has an exciting opportunity for a Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) to join our growing team! This is a casual position that's 12 hours per week and includes weekday afternoons and evenings.

BHPs work in supporting the Rehabilitative & Community Supports (RCS) Program, which provides an array of evidence-based services to children and teens with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in their homes and communities!

Position Summary

As a BHP, you will provide hands-on, one-to-one support to consumers and their families by implementing an individualized treatment plan that fosters and promotes skills related to behavior management/regulation, communication, independent living, self-care, and community integration.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

• Manage and effectively modify interfering behaviors across multiple settings and environments (home, school, stores, park, etc.) through the use of evidence based practices & interventions.

• Complete and accurately document progress summaries of goals and objectives, as well as other required paperwork assigned by Field Supervisor.

• Travel and transport consumers to community activities as appropriate.

What we're looking for:

Casual/per-diem, 12 hours per week

Tuesday - Friday: 3:30pm-6:30pm

$ 20.00 - $22.00/hour - commensurate with experience.

$375 Sign-on Bonus! - eligible at 6 months of employment

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Must have a valid State of Maine driver's license and personal vehicle with current proof of auto insurance.

• Must complete training and obtain certification as Behavioral Health Professional within 1 year of hire.

Previous experience encouraged, but NOT required!
