Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital is a new, state-of-the-art facility scheduled to open in Spring 2024 in White Hall, AR. Operated jointly between Jefferson Regional and Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, this new 87,000-square foot, 76-bed hospital, housing 40 inpatient rehabilitation beds with an additional 36 behavioral health beds, will be located just north of Pine Bluff and south of Little Rock. Essential Functions:

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment.

• Ability to have flexible hours in order to meet business needs.

• Demonstrates effective understanding of legal issues associated with

assessment/admission for Voluntary vs. Involuntary status, i.e. 72 Hour Hold, EMTALLA and

Mental Inquest Warrant processes as defined ijn state of practice.

• Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external customers as well

as maintains patient/family confidentiality and provides sensitive, respectful, and

compassionate customer service at all times.

• Ability to work with children, adolescents, adults (18 and over) or geriatric patients experiencing

mental illness and acute psychiatric crisis.

• Must demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.

• Capable of conducting crisis assessments that includes a mental status exam, suicide and

violence assessment, substance abuse assessment, and preliminary diagnosis.

• Knowledge of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder V (DSM V) or most

current version.

• Understanding of mental illness and stages of development.

• Ability to present clinical findings to attending psychiatrist and charge nurse.

• Ability to coordinate the transfer of patients from other facilities.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or other related field of study with experience in Behavioral

Health and Psychiatry pending State requirements.

• Bachelor's/Associate's Degree in Nursing pending State requirements.

• Current independent practice scope licensure in state of practice, LMFT, LMFT-A LPC, LPCA,

LPCP, LCSW, LMSW, RN or LPN.

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a psychiatric setting.

• Experience in crisis counseling and crisis evaluations preferred.

Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital will provide inpatient rehabilitation services for adults who have experienced a loss of function or disability due to stroke, brain injury, spinal code injury, neurological disorders, orthopedic surgery and other conditions. Featuring all private rooms, the rehabilitation section of the hospital will provide intense, interdisciplinary rehabilitation therapies and medical care to improve patients' functional independence and help them return home. In addition, Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital's distinct behavioral unit will offer a continuum of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services for adults and seniors, including crisis stabilization for acute mental health and substance use disorders; detoxification from alcohol and drugs; and treatment for anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and many other behavioral health illnesses.
