LOCATION: This position supports our 24/7 after-hours team. The position is fully remote, but you must live within one hour of an Anthem office.
HOURS: Mon/Thu/Fri 4:00 pm
11:30 pm. Sat/Sun 12:00 pm
9:30 pm. Off days are Tue/Wed. There is a shift differential for applicable hours.
(Note: training for this position will be up to 3 weeks in length and conducted via normal business hours, approx 8:00 am
The EAP Consultant I is responsible for providing 24/7 Behavioral Health and Employee Assistance services to millions of our members.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Supports Employee Assistance Program (EAP) service department by responding to initial customer contacts and request for services
Receives client requests, assesses the situation, determines appropriate course of action.
Provides telephone crisis intervention, assessment, short-term problem resolution, and referral to appropriate provider(s).
Manages Critical Incident Stress Debriefing requests.
Assesses members and assists them in accessing behavioral healthcare benefits available under their health plan.
Applies specialized knowledge in substance abuse, domestic abuse, grief counseling, workplace problems, and management consultation.
Provides employer consultation to supervisors, managers, and Human Resources of the EAP contracted organization.
Manages shared mailbox that is used by clients and external vendors to forward information that must be reviewed and placed in the documentation system.
Provides advanced consultation to designated client representatives.
Integrates callers with appropriate EAP services and referrals for the most complex cases.
Requires a current active unrestricted LPC (as allowed by applicable state laws), LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, or RN license from the state in which you reside.
Requires 3 years of clinical experience in social work, counseling with a broad range of experience with complex psychiatric and substance abuse, or substance abuse disorder treatment.
Previous EAP or Call Center experience highly preferred.
Bilingual skills are very helpful.
Requires computer literacy and the ability to key and enter information while speaking with our members.
As this position is remote, you must be able to set up your own company-issued computer and do minor troubleshooting if occasional issues arise.
High-speed internet is required, along with a quiet and private working space free from distractions.
You are required to reside within one hour of an Anthem office.
