Under immediate (I, II), general supervision (III), or general direction (IV), incumbents provide clinical or administrative psychiatric behavioral health services in a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment through the use of therapy (individual, family, or group), case management, interagency collaboration, and community organization.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

Behavioral Health Clinician I (unlicensed) - is the entry/trainee level classification, where emphasis is on learning casework and treatment methods appropriate to a public mental health setting, procedures, policies as part of a multi-disciplinary team under the close clinical supervision of a Board of Behavioral Sciences Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Behavioral Health Clinician II (unlicensed) - is the journey level classification, providing behavioral health services as part of a multi-disciplinary team under general supervision with clinical supervision by a Board of Behavioral Sciences Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Behavioral Health Clinician III (licensed) - is the advanced journey level classification providing behavioral health services as part of a multi-disciplinary team under general supervision. Incumbents in this classification demonstrate greater skill and depth of job knowledge in the assessment of consumer and family needs, and in the formulation and implementation of treatment and wellness and recovery plans.

Behavioral Health Clinician IV (licensed) - is the expert level of the series, able to independently perform the most complex clinical and case management assignments and provide clinical supervision according to licensure and training. Demonstrates leadership within the multi-disciplinary team.

APPROXIMATE SALARY:

Behavioral Health Clinician I: $23.01 - $32.24 / hr

Behavioral Health Clinician II: $2,104.34 - $2,949.77 biweekly

Behavioral Health Clinician III: $2,209.98 - $3,095.63 biweekly

Behavioral Health Clinician IV: $2,319.51 - $3,249.59 biweekly

EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVE: Some positions may be eligible for educational incentive. This incentive may be 2.5%, 3.5%, or 5% for incumbents in eligible positions based on completion of an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree that is not required for the classification.

BILINGUAL INCENTIVE: Some positions may be eligible for bilingual incentive depending on the applicable memorandum of agreement and the needs of the department. In order to qualify for this incentive, incumbents in eligible positions must take and pass the applicable bilingual fluency examination with a score of seventy percent (70%) or higher.

AGENCY/DEPARTMENT: Health Care Agency - Behavioral Health

Behavioral Health Clinician I is represented by the Service Employees' International Union (SEIU) and is eligible for overtime compensation.

Behavioral Health Clinician II, III, and IV are represented by the Service Employees' International Union (SEIU) and are not eligible for overtime compensation.

The eligible list established from this recruitment may be used to fill current and future Regular (including Temporary and Fixed-Term), Intermittent, and Extra-Help vacancies within the Health Care Agency. There are currently nineteen (19) Regular vacancies.

NOTE: If appointed at the lower level, incumbent may be promoted to the higher level(s) without further examination upon meeting the minimum requirements, demonstrating satisfactory performance, and in accordance with the business needs of the department.

The VISTA Adult Forensic ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) program provides services to people that have been identified as severely and persistently mentally ill and incarcerated within the past year. The program currently serves 30 forensic adults over the age of 18. The services provided are outpatient and often take place in the field rather than in the office. Employment Status: Full-Time POSITION SUMMARY In this mid-level management position and under direct supervision of the Administrator, the Clinical Director provides leadership, coordination, and clinical supervision to multidisciplinary team(s) and/or program(s). Assists Administrator with quality improvement duties. QUALIFICATIONS Required: o Two (2) years post-graduate direct clinical experience in a mental health setting o Must have experience working with mental health and substance use consumers, families and advisory boards * Masters or higher degree in Social Services * One (1) year in leadership role in relevant outpatient setting o Current licensure/registration in the state of program operation (except for out-of-state applicants with existing licensure in good standing) as LCSW, LMFT, Psy.D * Sensitivity to multi-cultural populations and issues * Must be at least 18 years of age * Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment * All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. Position requires driving, valid driver's license, a motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment.
