Ensure the well-being of patients and provide a positive, supportive and structured environment.

Responsible for conducting safety checks and ensuring that supervision is conducted at 15 minute intervals, as noted in special precautions, or in accordance with individualized supervision guidelines as needed.

Document timely, accurate and appropriate clinical information in patient's medical record.

Assist in providing a safe, secure and comfortable environment for patients, significant others and staff.

Interact routinely with patients, observe behaviors and communicate significant observations to nursing staff.

Oversee or assist patients with activities of daily living, including toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, meals, snacks, hydration and changing bed linens.

May obtain patient's vital signs, height and weight as assigned and document in patient record.

Facilitate patient educational-rehabilitative groups which cover a variety of topics including social skills, coping skills, anger management and independent living skills.

Engage patients in activities and interactions designed to encourage achievement of treatment goals.

Complete and maintain required documentation. Assist with follow-up and paperwork as required on incidents and events that may take place in the facility.

May provide transportation for patient or coordinate transportation with appropriate staff member.


Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.


High school diploma or equivalent required. Prefer one year experience working with the specific population of the facility.


First Aid, CPR, de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility). May require a valid state driver's in facilities where transporting patient is an essential function.

Supervises business office personnel to include recruiting, orientation, training, performance evaluation and counseling. Performs administrative duties of a general nature. Duties and Responsibilities: 1 Coordinates and integrates services within WellSpan Philhaven with other departments/service lines/entities and with the System's primary functions. Participates in the selection of outside services, if needed. 2 Continuously assesses and improves WellSpan Philhavens performance. Maintains appropriate quality control/assessment programs (if applicable). 3 Actively utilizes improvement strategies/tools to positively impact all aspects of outpatient clinic operations. 4 Under the direction of operational leadership, manages all on-site activities in such a way that promotes the satisfaction and welfare of the patients visiting the site. 5 Facilitates the purchasing of supplies, pharmaceuticals and office goods by working collaboratively with materials management. Assists in selection of outside services; resolves issues related to services provided by outside vendors. 6 Works in partnership with senior clinic manager and lead physician to solve problems, resolve conflicts and enhance operations, quality and safety. Includes safety reporting, customer complaints and IT issues. 7 Communicates operational issues to senior clinic manager to obtain timely and effective resolution. 8 Promotes reporting of events and tracks trends to identify potential improvement opportunities. 9 Follows established service recovery protocols; trains and empowers staff to address patient concerns; assures all patient issues are appropriately addressed. 10 Prepares and maintains staff work schedules. 11 Performs payroll and other financial functions. 12 Assists senior clinic manager with strategic planning, including development and implementation of action plans related to WellSpan Philhaven Objectives.
