Using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), our teams inspire, instill hope, and change lives. As a Behavior Technician, you serve as a mentor and advocate for children with developmental disabilities. You will cultivate their ability to communicate effectively and give them a voice. You will teach them how to interact with their peers and loved ones, and help them form meaningful relationships. You will reinforce all of their efforts and hard work, and empower them to be independent. You will ultimately promote a positive change in the way they live and give them opportunities to thrive and succeed!

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 ABA therapy in a variety of settings (home, clinic, school and/or community)

  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by Behavior Analysts, including behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols

  • Collect and record data to monitor progress and effectiveness of treatment plan

  • Support Behavior Analysts with parent-training

  • Communicate client progress or changes in behavior with clinical team

  • Create a safe, positive and fun environment to encourage learning

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and critical-thinking skills

  • Experience working with children preferred

  • High school diploma - college degree preferred

  • Current certification of CPR/First Aid or BLS training

Competitive Pay plus Monthly Bonus potential.<br /> <br /> <strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide 1:1 intervention services developed by a Behavior Analyst on ABA principles for children 18 months and older.</li> <li>Teach individuals with special needs various skills needed in order for their optimal achievement.</li> <li>Using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, implement each client's individualized treatment and intervention strategies by providing direct intervention and therapy services to children with autism and related disorders.</li> <li>Work on skills like empathy, emotions, conversation, social skills, communication skills, pragmatic and self- help skills.</li> <li>All BT's create a fun, motivating environment to generate optimal performance for every client, they do this in order to collect data on programming targets, and provide support to parents, teachers, and caregivers.</li> <li>Behavior Nation provides training for every BT and continuous feedback, training and support.</li> </ul> <br /> <br /> <strong>Required Credentials:</strong> <ul> <li>Must have at least a High School Diploma or Associates degree.</li> <li>Experience working with children or children with special needs.</li> <li>Experience in Childcare/ Assistant Teacher, toddler teacher </li> <li>Valid California driver's license and car insurance.
