First Children Services is actively recruiting for per diem Behavior Technicians. Our Behavior Technicians work directly with a child diagnosed with autism and their family to implement the behavior plan designed by our BCBA in home, school and/or clinic settings.

The Behavior Technician will:

  • build a rapport with the child.
  • work with child and family on the goals set forth in the behavior plan.
  • teach new skills.
  • manage behaviors, including physical and self-injurious behaviors.
  • observe and record progress.

Our per diem Behavior Technicians are eligible for:

  • RBT Certification

  • Safety Care Training

  • Flexible work schedule

Required Skills:

  • Genuine interest in working with children with autism.

  • Ability to move/restrain clients ages 1.5 to 18 years old using correct safety procedures.

  • Patience, problem-solving skills, discretion, ability to think on your feet, creativity.

  • Ability to work well with others and be an effective part of a treatment team.

  • Ability to work equally well independently.

  • Strong interpersonal and writing skills.

  • Access to reliable transportation; valid NJDL, willingness to travel.

  • Minimum of HS diploma, bachelor's degree preferred.

Required experience:

  • 2+ years of experience working with children on the autism spectrum.

Responsible in leading a crew in performing landscape maintenance work at stations and specific sections of right-of-way. Perform inspection of stations to identify damage and potential hazards. Provide flag protection for work being performed near the railroad tracks, as provided. Primary Activities and Responsibilities * Ensure compliance with all railroad rules and regulations, as governed by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) * Ensure compliance with all safety regulations applicable to OSHA and corporate policy * Perform inspections and maintenance at passenger rail stations * Complete landscaping duties involving grass cutting, weeding, and shrub trimming * Possesses SNJLRTS Rules and Physical Characteristics training qualifications * Provide flagging protection for contracted work party access along the right-of-way * Perform snow removal activities * Perform painting at facilities and stations * Maintain signage throughout the system * Perform other tasks, as assigned Minimum Qualifications * High School diploma/GED and (1) year of technical experience * (1) year experience with formal technical training or (5) years with applicable experience * 18 years of age or older * Valid Driver's License Preferred Qualifications: * Preferred experience with safely operating commercial/zero turn mowing equipment * Preferred experience with safety operating chain saws and pole saws * Preferred experience with safety operating a snow plow * Preferred experience with operating forklifts and loading equipment Bombardier Camden NJ
