Join Our Team as a Behavior Specialist at St. Joseph's Villa

Under the leadership of the Director of the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), you will play a pivotal role in supporting children aged 5 - 17 through their unique journeys. As a Behavior Specialist, you'll deliver personalized treatment services as outlined in each client's Service Plan, collaborating closely with our dedicated program staff. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing professional crisis intervention and stabilization services directly to clients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Participates as an active member in a team approach to the delivery of services to clients

• Participates in staff meetings, community meetings, and other staff and program group activities that support the operation of the CSU

• Participates in the development and implementation of service plans, objectives, and methods necessary for providing effective services to individual clients and families

• Transports clients to the CSU when appropriate

• Provides professional psycho-educational services to clients and their families individually and in groups on a regularly scheduled basis

• Participates in the development of progress/evaluation reports of clients

• Maintains accurate individual case records for clients under his/her supervision within state licensing and professional accreditation standards

• Promotes good community relations and utilizes needed community services

• Acts as liaison with community agency casework staff for process reporting and service planning

• Assists in client intake, admission and discharge planning

• Coordinates relevant after-care services for discharged clients and their families with the referring CSB

• Evaluates work processes and methods and submits recommendations for continuous quality improvement

• Attends scheduled training programs for professional development that include, at a minimum, trainings required by St. Joseph's Villa and by regulatory and accrediting bodies

• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or other human service field
• QMHP-C or QMHP-T certification required
