The successful candidate will have the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. The behavior specialist will work directly with students in a counseling capacity, support studnets with SEL needs, and work collaboratively with the building based Mental Health Team.
Candidate should be trained in the CALM strategies and demonstrate an understanding of behavior interventions within the classroom. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. A bachelor's degree and a Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary School Psychologist license, or Adjustment Counselor license, or Moderate Special Education Teacher license are required; a master's degree is preferred.
