Through our intentionally diverse design, Valley Charter School is becoming a national model for urban public education. Position Summary: Valley Charter Elementary School is looking for a behavioral interventionist to support students with social emotional and behavioral needs.

We are seeking a candidate who has experience working as a BII, who is patient, resourceful, good at establishing positive relationships and who has good communication skills. Candidates must be able to work from 8:00am

• 2:40pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday and from 8:00am

• 1:00pm on Thursdays. Responsibilities: - Work with the student directly during the school day by providing behavioral support based on goals identified in his IEP - Track and report on the student's behavior as directed by the Behavior Intervention Development Specialist (BID) - Support the student during recess time

• Collaborate with the general education teacher and the BID to ensure that the needs of the student are being met

• Communicate regularly with BID and teacher to discuss successes and challenges SALARY AND BENEFITS: Pay is $22-$24/hour depending on experience.
