Behavior Intervention Paraprofessional *All Applicants Must Read The Job Description*

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Possess Registered Behavior Technician certification or provide proof of active course work, to obtain certification.

• Current CPI certification.

• Knowledge of a variety of special needs, including Autism, emotional and behavioral disorders. Experience: One year of paid experience working with multi-age groups of children. Experience in working with diverse populations including students with behavior plans. Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, and one of the following: 1) completed two years of study at an institution of higher education (48 semester units); 2) obtained an associate's (or higher) degree; or 3) met a rigorous standard of quality and be able to demonstrate, through a formal State or local academic assessment, knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics (or, as appropriate, reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness). LICENSE REQUIREMENT Possession of a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License. CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT Insurability by the agency's liability insurance carrier.
