Job Summary

General Description: Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Behavioral Intervention Aide will provide support to all students, including but not limited to students with behavioral issues. The Behavioral Aide will implement comprehensive positive behavioral support plans and effective behavior management strategies; deliver instructions; participate as a member of the educational team, and help support and implement all components of the student's individual program.

This position requires a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification. In an effort to encourage more candidates to apply to this position, we are providing a FREE TRAINING to meet the minimum qualifications for our Behavior Intervention Aide position. Please note that this training is TCUSD specific in order to apply and uphold the position of Behavior Intervention Aide. This training does not meet the qualifications to obtain an RBT.

  • If you already have the RBT Certificate, there is no need to attend this training. Instead, be sure your RBT Certificate is attached to your EdJoin application.

  • If you do not possess the RBT Certificate, you will need to attend this training and attach the certificate to this posting before submitting your application. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Training Dates 10/06/23 - 11/09/23 - 01/12/24 - 02/23/24 - 03/08/24 - 04/19/24 - 05/17/24 Time 8:00am

Education and/or Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Obtain TCUSD Behavior Aide Certification or possess Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification: - Experience working in an educational setting implementing intensive behavioral intervention programs for students with complex and/or severe behavioral problems. Certificates and Licenses: - Must possess a valid First Aid card and CPR Certificate.

  • Valid California drivers' license and evidence of insurance.

  • Certification in non-violent crisis interventions as utilized by the district. Required Documents:

  • Certification (RBT or TCUSD Training Certificate)

  • Letter of Introduction

  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (Dated within the last 3 years.)

  • Proof of HS Graduation

  • Resume
