May Institute's In-Home Behavioral Services (IHBS) division is currently seeking full time and part time Master's Level Behavior Consultants to provide behavioral support services to families of individuals who display challenging behavior at home and in the community.
We are seeking consultants from the following areas: Boston Metro, Plymouth, and Bridgewater. As a Behavior Consultant, you will provide services to clients in one of the previously mentioned general areas (travel to client homes will be confined to an approximately 30-minute radius).
This is a fee-for-service position, full-time or part time (10-30 hours per week). Candidates must be flexible in their scheduling, which may include weekend hours, based on the needs and availability of the families served.
In-Home Behavioral Services include:
A Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) for the youth
An individualized Behavior Support Plan (BSP)
Coaching and support for the youth's family/caregivers to implement the BSP
Monitoring of the BSP to determine its effectiveness
Coordination of care with other providers
Responsibilities:
Provides consultations services to an assigned group of clients - travel for client caseload approximately 30-minute radius
Provide a structured setting for learning new skills and eliminating problem behaviors
Oversee the daily activities and ensure the health, safety, and general well-being of the student(s)
Observe and analyze behavior and evaluate progress
Provide treatment procedures as specified in student's treatment plan
Provide support to families, including skills training and sibling services
Qualifications:
Masters degree in a related field (Human Services, ABA, Psychology)
Will consider candidate at least halfway through Master's program in a related field
Bilingual a plus
Demonstrated knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis
Previous experience with social/emotional disabilities preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a wrap-around team
Reliable transportation
