General Responsibilities The Behavior Analyst (RTF) is responsible for the oversight of clinical programming within Melmark#s Residential Treatment Facility (RTF) for their respective caseload (up to 6 students). #The RTF is an evidence-based neurobehavioral stabilization program that serves individuals ages 5 to 21, with severe challenging behaviors secondary to a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders, developmental disorders, neurological disorders, brain injury, and other neurodevelopmental disorders. These services are provided in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatric and health care services.

The emphasis of the program is on clinical stabilization and discharge to a less restrictive setting in approximately 9 to 15 months. As the lead and responsible clinician, the Behavior Analyst is responsible for the development of assessments, function-based interventions, behavior support plan development, clinical training for program implementation and program fidelity for his/her caseload. This position will oversee the role and responsibility of a Behavior Specialist.

The Behavior Analyst will be expected to take the lead as a clinical supervisor in both the residential facility and classroom setting. The position of Behavior Analyst requires this employee to have proficient skills in working with children and young adults who exhibit complex behavior disorders sometimes including life threatening behavior disorders.# The employee must have experience working with students who have had multiple treatment failures, treatment history utilizing aversives, and/or mechanical and chemical restraint as clinical interventions.# This individual must be willing to work directly with students who display intense aggressive and self- injurious behaviors.# This individual must have proven training and direct experience with behavior management strategies, be proficient with the science of Applied Behavior Analysis, implementing functional analysis, be able to demonstrate bringing applied research to practice, and demonstrate a clinical skill set that emphasizes a most effective least restrictive approach towards program design. This position requires active supervision of Behavior Specialists and direct care personnel in the RTF facilities and in the school setting.

Monday- Friday 8:30a-5p (flexibility needed for evening/weekend assessments and trainings) Starting Salary:#$75,920.00 (+) based on years of experience # Basic Qualifications Education/Training: #Master#s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, Psychology or closely related field Certifications/Licensure:# Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required.# A valid US driver#s license and a minimum age of twenty-one (21) years old.# Must be capable of attaining approved Melmark driver status.# Must meet Pennsylvania background check requirements.# Successful completion of employer provided certification in CPR, First Aid, Crisis Intervention, and Melmark#s Orientation Program and New Hire Onsite training program. Skill(s):# Strong background in applied behavior analysis, clinical application of applied behavior analysis with individuals with acquired brain injury, intellectual/developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.# Strong experience working with individuals with significant challenging behaviors.# Experience with research design and methods.

Experience with design and implementation of functional analysis. Experience:# Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in clinical service delivery and supervision within public or approved private school settings and in implementing evidence-based procedures for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism and challenging behaviors.# Minimum of 3-5 years# experience in program management, supervising and training staff, skills in human resources, budget management and running residential, educational or clinical systems. Interrelationships:# Works cooperatively with all members of the multidisciplinary team (Educational Services Nursing Services, Vocational Services, Clinical Services, Residential Staff, and Allied Health Services) to ensure that each student#s educational and clinical requirements are met
