Benzer Pharmacy, a rapidly growing retail pharmacy company, is seeking a Bedside Delivery Driver to provide seamless service and support to our loyal patients at our Bradenton, FL location. Come join a winning team!

Responsible for all pharmacy tasks relating to bedside delivery program, including: facilitating patient participation; acting as pharmacy liaison between patients and physicians, social workers, nurses, and inpatient/outpatient pharmacy staff; preparing prescriptions; and coordinating payment and deliveries to and from the facility (health system/ hospital).

Required Qualifications:

  • This role requires a high school graduation or equivalent;

  • One to two years of retail, ambulatory care or hospital pharmacy technician experience is required.

  • Active pharmacy technician license or registration as required by the state

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Reliable source of transportation

  • Willing to drive periodically throughout daily shifts

  • Valid State Driver's License

  • Organizational skills and techniques

  • Displays strong leadership and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sales experience preferred

  • PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification

  • Microsoft Office

  • RX30 software

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acts as support staff in the pharmacy when needed or when assigned or requested by management.

  • Communicates with patient regarding prescription cost/co-pays and their ability to pay. Collects payment for prescriptions; processes cash, check, credit card transactions; secures appropriate signatures; and, ensures compliance with HIPAA requirements.

  • Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.

  • Delivers prescriptions to patients room and shows medications to patient; offers and facilitates counseling by a pharmacist if requested; hands prescriptions to patients nurse in secure bag for storage on the floor until patient is discharged.

  • Identifies discharge patients, explains the benefits of the bedside delivery program, and encourages and facilitates participation. Works to eliminate any potential barriers to patient participation in bedside delivery program. Obtains insurance information and patient demographics.

  • Organizes bedside delivery prescriptions in designated area of the pharmacy in order of priority: retrieves labels from printer; arranges paperwork, labels, monographs, and bags; uses any appropriate notes and stamps; and, retrieves stock from the shelf. Prepares prescriptions for dispensing: counts; labels vials appropriately; and, prioritizes prescriptions based upon time of patient discharge.

  • Performs data entry of new prescriptions in pharmacy system, including demographics, insurance plans, and prescription information according to policy. Brings to the attention of a pharmacist any claims requiring overrides. Troubleshoots insurance claim rejects and follows up on problem prescriptions.

  • Performs other duties as assigned (including filing prescriptions, filling vials, ordering supplies, etc.).

  • Works directly with Social Workers, Nurses, Physicians and other Pharmacy staff to troubleshoot any issues requiring intervention including prior authorizations, clarifications, re-writes, and referrals to social work.

  • Works with all members of a patients healthcare team to secure prescriptions in advance of discharge, ensuring that prescriptions are either brought or sent to the pharmacy for filling.

This position delivers products to customers from Sherwin-Williams paint stores. It is responsible for ensuring that deliveries are prepared to meet customer requirements in the most efficient manner. This involves loading customer orders properly on the truck, ensuring that appropriate forms are completed, following designated routes and time schedules from a mobile device, and delivering merchandise to the customer in a safe and timely manner. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: * Must have the authorization to work in this country without visa sponsorship. * Must be at least 21 years of age. * Must have a valid and unrestricted driver's license, and an acceptable driving record from the State Bureau of Motor Vehicles. * Must have a High school diploma or comparable certification (e.g. GED). * Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently. * Must be able to tint paint, therefore, must have good color perception. * Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Must have a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (ME Certificate) from a Department of Transportation (DOT) licensed "medical examiner" listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) National Registry. If you are selected for this position and do not have a current ME Certificate, you must be able to obtain one within five business days of receiving a conditional offer of employment.
