The BEC-LS Inventory Manager will be responsible for driving global inventory reduction for all of BEC-LS. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring correct inventory sizing in multiple distribution centers around the world, creating and leading a distribution strategy for global inventory, and driving problem solving to enable inventory reduction and availability throughout the Miami Facility. This person will be closely connected to the sales and operation planning process and will play an integral role in analyzing output from that sales and operation planning process to drive the material system appropriately.
The BEC-LS Inventory Manager contains both a wide, global view of inventory and a local view for the Miami Facility. This position will work with the local planners to drive processes and adherence to processes to enable an increase in inventory turns. This position will extend beyond the facility to drive improvement in inventory turns by utilizing strong project management skills, collaboration across different sites, and fast-paced problem solving.
This position will be required to communicate effectively across the entire organization; interacting with Buyers, Planners, Senior Leadership, Global Distribution, Finance, etc. This position will be a champion for the material process in the Miami plant. They will promote problem solving at the point of impact, promote coaching and mentoring where gaps are identified, and promote teamwork to achieve metrics.
The BEC-LS Inventory Manager will report directly to the Sr. Materials Manager for the Biotechnology Business Unit and will sit on the Materials Leadership Team. This position will be responsible for analyzing complex business problems at a fast pace, communicating the findings and recommendations to leadership, and adapting the analysis to changing business needs.
Bachelor's Degree with 5+ Years of Experience OR
Master's Degree with 3+ Years of Experience
2-3 years of Experience working with the Miami Plant Materials Team; with a focus on Raw Material Planning
1-2 years of Experience working with the Global DC Planners
Advanced skills in Microsoft Products; including advanced-level skills in Excel
Strong Project Management skills
Strong Computer Skills Required
Strong analytical skills, initiative, judgment and problem-solving ability
Demonstrated ability driving value in cross-functional projects
Proven experience working with global distribution networks
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments
Experience with supply chain and inventory management systems
Experience with the Sales and Operation Planning process
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Ability to communicate effectively across teams and upwards through the organization
Detailed oriented and focused on delivering value to the organization
