Danaher's Life Sciences and Diagnostics teams are looking for bright and innovative individuals to join our iDEAS Program. iDEAS (Innovation Defines Engineers and Scientists) is a highly competitive, inter-site science and engineering program to jump start your career. Over the span of 18 months, this rotational program offers a smooth transition from academia to industry while having the opportunity to work on 3 different, 6 month long projects in both technical and non-technical functions (Commercial, Marketing and IT).

The intent of this program is to provide exposure to the Danaher Business System (DBS), product knowledge, networking, customer site visits, development training, and visibility to product and service functions that will position you to advance your career within the organization.

We are looking for a mechanical engineer for Beckman Coulter Life Sciences in Loveland, CO. As a member of the team you will be a key developer investigating new solutions to fluid transport in small volume and micro-fluidics environments. You will research, develop and implement prototype solutions.

Job Requirements



  • Must have permanent US Work Authorization (US opportunities)

  • Must be fully completed with your degree program and able to start by early July 2019

  • Two years or less of post-graduation industry experience

  • Mechanical, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering major/focus of study

  • Demonstrated leadership potential through internships, academic departments, clubs, research projects, etc.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills

  • Strong technical knowledge

  • Ability to adapt under conditions of ambiguity, and able to adapt to new assignments

  • Strong data analytics and problem solving skills

  • Strives for innovative solutions, and motivated by continuous improvement

  • Results oriented as an individual and in a team setting has track record for delivery results, takes ownership and is accountable

Qualifications Specific to Engineering Students:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in the following disciplines:

  • Biomedical, Mechanical or Chemical

  • GPA of 3.4 or better (Undergraduate and relevant Master's programs)
