The Beauty Advisor is under direct supervision of store management. This individual is responsible for providing an exceptional experience for all ULTA guests by engaging each guest to determine their individual needs, keeping fixtures stocked with merchandise, maintaining overall store cleanliness and completing tasks as assigned.


  • Makes eye contact, smiles, and promptly acknowledges and greets each guest entering the store, or guests within close proximity while moving throughout the store.

  • Offers friendly, knowledgeable and courteous service. Understands that guest service is the top priority and ceases performing tasks when guests are present and in need of assistance.

  • Determines each guest's needs and answers questions concerning products and services. If necessary, partners with management to ensure the guest's needs are met.

  • While serving guests, recommends additional and complementary products and/or services based on information provided by the guest or items already selected for purchase.

  • Informs guests of current promotions, events and services within the store.

  • Is able to serve multiple guests at one time while maintaining composure during busy or peak selling times.

  • Contributes to the store's overall sales, conversion goals, and meets or exceeds individual goals.

  • Helps to eliminate and/or reduce potential theft of product by providing exceptional guest service and maintaining awareness while on the sales floor.

  • Courteously handles sales, refunds and exchanges. Ensures that the correct price, tax and/or discount are applied correctly to each sale.

  • Ensures all resets and planograms are executed as directed.

  • Sets up advertising displays or arranges merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events.

  • In between serving guests, ensures the store is replenished throughout the day and merchandises all products to company standards on shelves and tables.

  • Participates in physical inventory preparation, execution and follow-up.

  • Executes receipt of shipment truck within company guidelines.

  • Executes other operational tasks as directed by management.

  • Responsible for overall store cleanliness including restrooms, cashwrap, backroom and sales floor.

  • Takes the initiative to stay informed regarding new or existing products is knowledgeable about their ingredients and benefits to better serve guests.



  • High school diploma, 1 year relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

  • 1 year. retail experience preferred.

  • Demonstrates a passion for guest service and a competency for selling.

  • Ability to troubleshoot.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

VIEW JOBS 11/8/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-06T00:00 Position Purpose: Identify and support the financial and investment needs of existing and potential customers through the sale of appropriate financial and investment products. This is a junior advisor/supporting position. Essential Functions: * Provide comprehensive financial planning, including coordinating of asset management, estate planning and risk management. * Evaluate customers relative to their financial needs, current situation, holdings and available investment capital by profiling. Recommend appropriate products and process trades at the instruction of the Financial Advisor. * Assist the Financial Advisors mainly through financial planning and strategy creation for clients, including continuing and regular client contact and communication in a variety of methods (i.e. email, phone and in person). Begin to grow your own client base in preparation for a Financial Advisor position. * Provide on-going support to our clients on an as-needed basis; answering questions, general correspondence and meeting with clients. Preparing for client meetings, planning updates, portfolio changes and reviews, information gathering, and implementing investment recommendations. * Follow up promptly on customer requests for withdrawals, changes, transfers and account closures. * Perform administrative duties that support the Financial Advisors in daily business practices, including but not limited to telephone coverage and calendar management. Gathering information regarding client finances, organizing electronic case files, preparing reports, letters and other correspondence and completing special projects as appropriate. * Define and implement a business development strategy to generate opportunities with targeted prospects through activities including cold calling, business community outreach, referral development, and lead generation programs. Maintain a detailed pipeline of prospects. Proactively conduct follow-up calls. * Perform related duties and responsibilities as required. Qualifications/Requirements: * Formal training equivalent to a two-year college degree, which could include three (3) years of directly related experience. * Must possess/maintain current life insurance license, FINRA series 7 & 65, and variable annuity license. * Typically requires one to two years of relevant business experience, including two years of sales. * Experience with managed money/wealth management a plus. Retail banking experience preferred. * Develop and maintain a sound knowledge of Association policies, procedures, documentation and compliance requirements. * Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization. * Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills and comfort in dealing with customers in a sales and service environment. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate investment concepts. * Demonstrated ability to meet established goals through effective time management that allows handling of multiple transactions throughout the workday. * Proficiency with PC applications including MS Office Suite.
