WE are hiring for a Electron Beam Operator on 2nd shift, Monday-Thursday 3PM-1:00AM in Middlefield, OH!

Purpose and Scope:

The Electron Beam Operator will be responsible for the operation of our DC electron accelerator that is used for radiation processing. The Electron Beam plant sits adjacent to our main plant and is an integral operation within our value stream, providing enhanced properties to materials in our products.

Responsibilities:

  • Safe operation of electron beam equipment; using instruments and controls.

  • Closely monitor the process on computer monitors and manipulate controls as vital to the continued operation of the Beam.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary.

  • Interpret production schedules and ensure appropriate output to service the customer.

  • Review product and process documents and instructions.

  • Ensure products meet standards and quality specifications.

  • Provide feedback to engineers and management team regarding processing of product.

  • Follow all safety requirements and expectations.

  • Inspects equipment for unsafe conditions and reports to supervision.

  • Conducts minor equipment maintenance repairs and ensures good housekeeping practices.

  • Work as an advocate of continuous improvement and provide suggestions when appropriate.

  • Minimizes downtime by adjusting schedules as needed throughout the shift.

  • Maintain flow of product by loading/unloading product.

  • Responds to process related issues and equipment alarms.

  • Contributes to the team environment and performs other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • Minimum of HS diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2 year technical/trade school degree preferred (preferable in instrumentation and controls, electrical, and/or mechanics)
  • Electrical engineering degree or pursuant of such preferred.

We expect to draw upon the following skills and qualifications:

  • 1+ years in industrial, manufacturing, or processing experience required.

  • Experience working with instrumentation and controls preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.

  • Ability to work independently and maintain self-drive is a must.

  • Proven problem solving/analytical skills.

  • Knowledge and experience related air systems, vacuum systems, DC motor and drives, logic and analog circuits, water chiller systems, RF output signals, and System interfaces preferred.
